Loco! began rolling in 2005, under the name Sunrise in Jocks bar in Academi SU. Over this first period Djs like Kezz, Miss Morgan, and Alex Nasti, were spinning records and mixing different stiles creating an amazing atmosphere, gathering over 100 people in that small basement. Only few months after, SU management gave us the opportunity to run a night in 3 different levels. Drum n Bass in the basement, Latin beats in the Cocktail Bar, and high energy mash ups in the main room. With the add of resident dj’s, such as Colak, Alex K, Hoax, Deep C, LJ and many more, Loco! became famous for it’s crazy-high energy atmosphere and an electric vibe that Bangor had never seen in a student night. It only took 2 months to establish ourselves, and become the by far most popular (in numbers) residents dance night in North Wales, for that period, and this is how it stayed, till the original founders decide to stop running the night in a regular basis. We estimate that over the past 2 years, Loco! gathered more than 8.000 people in the venue....
