ManipulateDJs present...

KATE LAWLER myspace.com

Kate Lawler is unquestionably one of the most in demand and popular female DJ's in the UK today. Over the past 3 years she has built up a fantastic reputation playing with the likes of Sebastien Leger, Andy Chatterley, Chris Lake, Dean Ramirez, James Zabelia, Martijn Ten Velden the list could go on... Add this to her bi-monthly residency for arguably the best club in the country - Sankeys, playing some of Ibiza's leading clubs and having her first EP signed to Toolroom Records in 2008, its easy to see why Kate is quickly rising to the top! One of the main ingredients to Kate's rapid rise to the top is her energy and enthusiasm behind the CDJ's. Kates ability to adapt any environment she is put in is amazing. Her love for underground house music is apparent in her sets. Mixing it up with deep tech house playing a warm up set or full on techno with elements of progressive in the main room at Sankeys , wherever she plays - she will rock it! With big things planned for 2009, including her monthly podcast for Vonyc Sessions, trips to Poland, Spain, France, Asia and everywhere in between, a rammed diary of the UK's finest venues and some serious studio time as well, its shaping up to be another fine 12 months for our Kate.

With so many people speculating what style she played, and what her sets were like, Kate decided to take a step (perhaps an early one) in to music production. "I wanted to put my productions out to define my style as a DJ. I didn't intend on getting in to the studio so quickly after learning to DJ but I worked with a fantastic engineer and having 3 of the 4 tracks i made signed to Toolroom Records was a dream come true for me.
