HARDCORE HEAVEN
Now in its 6th year, Saturday 25th October sees the return of the Official Hardcore Awards, hosted by Hardcore Heaven as part of Westfest 2008. Last year over 15,000 hardcore ravers from all over the UK made their views known and cast their votes in what is the ultimate decider of who are the main players in the hardcore scene right now. Once again, unbelievably, the hardcore scene has grown yet bigger so we expect the voting to increase to unprecedented levels as even more people vote for their hardcore heroes.

Voting will continue right up to 20th October, the week before the big night. Early votes throughout June, July and August will determine most of the artists who perform on the night, although others will be added to the bill if voting dictates this. It’s time to get online and start telling us who the winners are going to be….

Tonight will undoubtedly be one of the biggest Hardcore gatherings of the year, so don’t miss it!

Re-launched and re-vamped in 2007, Slinky goes from strength to strength, selling out their spiritual home in Bournemouth, The Opera House, as well as filling dancefloors all across the UK. Hard Dance rules the roost for Slinky at Westfest 2008, and with none other than Lisa Lashes on board, the World’s number One female DJ, this is how it should be done. Fellow females Lisa Pin-up, Cally Gage, Amber D & Kym Ayres don’t only add some glamour to the proceedings but are well-acknowledged crowd favourites, knowing exactly what to do in order to get a dancefloor moving. Not forgetting the boys of course! Alex Kidd, BK, The Organ Donors and new whizzkid Rodi Style are backed up by Slinky resident Velos in making sure that you don’t go home disappointed!

Hard Style hedonists Bionic are back again in 2008 with what is probably one of the maddest arenas in the whole show! Once again bringing over the cream of the international DJ talent from Holland, Italy, Germany and even Wales(!), the Bionic arena has got it all, including blokes who wear make-up (Cally & Juice) – what more could you ask for? Nutters like Mark EG fit right in with such lunacy so an open mind is required once you step through the doors, be prepared for the unexpected. The DJ’s may be mad, but the music is absolutely cutting-edge, and is gradually gaining mass popularity in the UK after years of living in the shadow of the huge European events that kicked it all off. You won’t be disappointed….
