As per thread title...

Nearly every other form of dance music is covered @ Westfest, bar hardcore techno / gabber.

Anyone else agree?

Up untill i heard that scorpio set i hadnt really given hardcore tech/gabba much thought but i have to say that set was truly mindblowing, hard as fuck i was bouncing off the walls. I really enjoyed it and would love to see it feature more at events :)

yeah u know it makes sence!!! only 2 sets me and mark actually waited for and that was scorpio and joey&kurts. until then westfest 'hu hum' dare i say, was boring!! it was worth the wait tho!!!

Used be wicked when north run the hardcore techno room when westfest first started then they just stopped it :( think best set i seen in last few years at westfest hardcore techno wise would prob be promo, place went fkn mental.

I Agree Should Be More Harder Styles.. ive always been into my hardcore but going into the bionic room at westy really opened my eyes.. it was fuckin awesome lol luckily North hosting room 2 at oxygen this weekend, so i can satisfy my cravings for some bass..

TBH, I think Slammin' are more likely to have a hardcore techno / gabber arena next year @ Westfest now that they have opened the awards up with the Best Hardcore Techno DJ at this years event.

Luckily i live about 10 minutes away from newport where bionic host monthly events they allways go off bigtime, the bionic arena at west fest was awesome fairplay

Good shout Si, went to Westfest last year and thought exactly the same, dunno why they don`t do it, there is such a call for it in the clubbing world and a party don`t finish properly unless that`s been caning out somewhere along the night, who needs a chill out room, no one chills at a party, not unless there loosing the plot and then hearing some boring ol house/chilled music on top of that would make ya freak ! !

Get the Hardcore Techno n Gabba sorted S.V, it need`s to be done ! !

i wud deffo go 2 westfest if they had a gabber and hardcore techno room only reason y i have not been 2 westfest these few years is because their is no gabber or anything like that

Which should have been Scorpio's Trophy this year. What is really annoying is that people who do not know Hardcore Techno that much or at all don't know how good the dj's really are. So they just vote for the dj who they recognise the most name wise. And i think thats how most of the awards went this year. I mean as for the rest of the awards, how some of them got them is a joke. But hey ho what matters is WE WANT HARDCORE TECHNO ROOM @ WESTFEST NEXT YEAR!!! Otherwise i aint going. Stand made. :-)
