Friday 4th December - Leaving bash @ The Angel
THE ANGEL & DARKFADER (in association with Heavy Duty) present…
...Cart's Leaving Bash...
@ The Angel Music Venue, The Broadway, Bedford. MK40 2TH
Friday 4th December 2009.
9PM - 4AM.
FREE ENTRY ALL NIGHT. Last entry 1AM. Improved and Increased security in place. Bring I.D

Playing the best in Drum 'n' Bass, Dubstep, Jungle, Old Skool Garage, Hip Hop & Reggae all night long.

After a short break, The Angel Music Venue has re-opened its doors to the public. With revised security measures & new door policies put in place, among other changes, a safe & fun-packed night is guaranteed as the Darkfader & Heavy Duty crews return for what is set
to be the ultimate send-off for the man Cart, 1 half of the legendary Heavy Duty sound system alongside partner-in-crime Swampy.
From its humble beginnings at the Paddington to the more recent high profile nights at the Angel, bringing in names such as Brockie & Nicky Blackmarket, the Heavy Duty promotion & sound system have been supporting Bedford's party scene for a number of years. For those that were there for those nights at the Paddington, you will know it's not all about the big names, plush venues, fancy decor & extortionate entry prices to have a good night. Heavy Duty would bring a selection of Bedford's up & coming DJs, keenly spinning a varied selection of music on a 3k system to an appreciative crowd who were there for one reason only - to have a party! With close support from the Darkfader boys, this night became one of Bedford’s biggest and helped to define an era for a lot of people.
Word soon spread about how good these nights were & the venue would be rammed every time, kicking things off with the down tempo sounds of Reggae & Dub with a splash of Hip Hop, followed by UK Garage & ending with Jungle & Drum 'n' Bass to ensure the party would be in full flow until closing (with extra time frequently being called!)
This was all run without the aid of a MIC, which goes to show the music & sound system are the prime ingredients to any successful night. On Friday 4th December we intend to recreate these party vibes by bringing a selection of Heavy Duty's original DJs alongside some of Bedford's finest up & coming talent to celebrate the end of an era.
Entry is free all night so bring your friends, bring positive vibes, & make sure you arrive early 'coz this 1 is gonna be a roadblock!
