Right - here it is my final review! So I’d better make it a good ‘n’ aey!?!!

A funny year it’s been 2009.
The 24th of March was NO acceptation. We left Hitchin to go to Hyperbolic PRE party on what we thought was good time, to make it down to Peterborough. How wrong were we!? FPMSL! We hit signs to get there still reading 68+ miles- what a Night Mare on Elm Street believe!!!

So after throwing the towel in after we took a moody one just outside Peterborough- we found ourselves back on the beat and track back up to good old Bedford and HIGH VOLTAGE!- Waaaheeey!



We arrived in good time at just after 9.00pm and Crave & Backlash were in full swing- mixing up the hardcore ting!; )
Not being glutton for punishment I ordered the first pint of Wrongbow and tottered up on the H.V stage as I noticed Bernzi move to the bar as I walked away lol.




A nice style of upfront beats with smooth dose no vocal too!- The H.V massive were in the usual ‘lets FUCKi’N’ AV it’ mood and that was fine by me!!! After the initial noise was conjured up from the crew, Lyrical G & Spikey nut nut were soon to be seen from the ever increasing crowed!
Bernzi took back the mic which was rightfully his, and I made my way back to rave’s ville with my lady and crew that were there too- it wasn’t long before the Sambuca’s were in full swing(NICE1 Akki!) and things were all rosy baby!
On one of the much needed toilet breaks, it wasn’t long before we bumped into the legend who with X- amount of Xtreme Energy had kindly made the journey to H.V- WILFIEE C! It was the first time that I had met Wilfee and what a top guy! We all had a chat over a pint and also a good laugh too!
All setting the mood before IF I remember correctly- the mighty Freefalls set…

It has to be said- the guy’s good- but still- he get’s BETTER!!!!!!? Smashing out the hardcore his way- on a C.D and vinyl tip it was AWSOME!
On arrival - I bumped into the MC legend that is MC Philma- who as he rightly said- ‘had brought an old friend with him!!!!’- None other than MC CAUTION!- TOP’S to see you both again!- And after Philma’s interview - it was time to put the lyrics to the plan!! It all seemed to work extremely well, the mighty Caution blowing it up once again! As Philma rightly said- it’s all about RESPECT on the mic, and it was awesome working with these guys!-



Philma & Caution smashed it out to Lady Brock’s set which once again proceeded her self!- Slamming down the hardcore flavour with her classic Freeform and the infamous D&B switch!!!!- The crowed were proper hyped off this and it went down a mixing treat!

We together hosted your promoters Highflying H.V set!- The Bernzi & Little Miss Detonate show- once again- proper upfront with all the trimmings!!!!- I even pulled a re wind with Bernzi on I need You by Styles- an all time fave of the rave- had to be done!!!!!
A top set once again doing total hardcore justice for the crew- good times and smiles all round!
These guys aint the promoters and owners for NO REASON PEOPLE - They throw a party like they mix up a set!- CRANK2 HIGH VOLTAGE- SPREAD THE WORD YA EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAR!!!!Sid P (legendary status ) took over for James Dub’s set- again setting us up nicely-



James smashed the Dub out of it with his unique style on the decks and production tip, and it is time to: W A T C H THIS- SPACE-> You will soon see allot of reviews for forthcoming work engineered and also created by James Dub, as his talents stem from the decks in to the studio, he has recently worked with D.J Freefall (resident) and also High Voltages very own Lill Miss Detonate! They have created a very nice- sign of our times track, aptly named SOCIETY! - It’s a darker number but never the less smacks the hell hound and back out of the candy ass stuff that some dance floor explorers don’t like!;) Review coming REAL soon to a D.S.I Post NEAR YOU!….
Once again the Dub man delivered in finest of syle for all the High Voltage hardcore- nice one mate!!!


Headliner & v.I.p special guest, time to kick us off and be treated and entertained by non other than Track Master music’s: D.J CRUZE!!!!!! We all know Cruze another awsome hardcore legend! It was top’s to meet you mate, hope to see ya again at a rave real soon!- SADLY MC MACCA had been stuck in traffic and couldn’t make the booking! HOPEFULY Next time bro- So the legendary LYRICAL GROOVER stepped up and boy did the set pop! Cruze smashed out loads of new and forthcoming material, with Lyrical once again breaking down doors on the microphone, he didn’t stop the music this time round so the crew danced all the way through- but it’s good when you do because it’s funny as London Zoo Chimpanzee tea party !!!! !!! !!! This set was again nothing more than you’d expect from a High Voltage production down at the Angel- nicely done guys!



We have guests in the place once again with brand new bass!!! 2.00am hit the clock, and headliners and special v.i.p dub plate business entertainers WILFIEE C & MC MITCH Stepped up to show us how it is done EXTREME ENERGY STYLE- BOUY!!!……. I have only met Sir Wilfiee C on D.S,I, so this was a first - not only is he a top geezer and likes a good ol laugh, some one’s taught him how to use the decks too…;) Now this set really did stand out for the night, and it must have had some impact in my head, as I’m still feeling it now! Playing away from the vocal side of things, Willf’s took us through some deep bass line, and melodic break downs which really did the business at this time of the evening! The pace of the core was also a little faster - it sounded.
As stated the host of his set was a certain MC by the name of MITCH. . . Lyrical Groover has recently mentioned in his interview that Mitch is ‘Next level’ well yes he is.. The stood on stage and blasted out perfectly timed lyrics, with first class shizzle that Fiddy cent back in the hood would look to , to gain stamina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really impressive, and the crowed obviously felt it as they were off the rocker by this point!
The Energy DID get EXTREME the granny & the carrot got smashed on this set to the highest order….I cant really say any more, so just add comments:



A little way into the Extreme Energy set- we went to get another drink and take a look about, we ended upstairs with Hard Dance in full effect- Ajay from Diablo Traxx was on…OH GOSH ! The was as they say: In The Zone! I like my hard dance and this was spot on, point blank all over with mixing & track selection, I didn’t want to leave and again like allot of events these day’s felt torn between the two arenas! Ajay kept the crowed moving till his last a pleasure to see, good stuff man plain to see how you have come so far!!!: ) It's all about Diablo Traxx!!!!!




Time just seems to evaporate when your at a High Voltage event. And I think that everyone that has ever been to a H.V party will join me in saying, that IF the Angel could EVER get a full late licence - then it would just top off to what really is a remarkable night each & every time!….
Lyrical was due to host the Last set of the night, and people things were about to get Lethal… Mr Joey Riot had made it down to Lethalize Bedford town! Lyrical introduced Joey, then in true Lyrical respectful style passed over once again to Mitch and let him take the set- Lyrical deep respects.

Joey kicked off with a bit of Gabber and the H.V massive gathered round, as Mitch raised the party levels once again… As Joey launched into some awesome Lethal Theory bounce and bass- the place was without heads and happy faces all over!- Mitch pulled off to what was an outstanding show for High Voltage crew- and you just couldn’t help in thinking: ‘This is the mic’s future…’
Sadly the 4.00am vibe came round and the house lights were on a little earlier than planned and Mitch delivered a rallying speech at the end, bigging up all the H.V crew and of course Joey Riot for the set!



This dictates’ yet again another spot on A1 party- with that VIBE to rival none, High Voltage bring the bacon home each & every time, so to ALL the party people and crew, the ravers that is YOU, to Paul and Maria for staging it BIG THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




We all know now that the next one is a bit special.. NO IT’S NOT!!!!!?- IT’S F!!!!!G SPECIAL!!! - It’s High Voltages 4th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So your ALL INVITED!!!!! MAY THE 22nd- bring ALL your friends & family, lets make this one an even bigger & better party!!!!!!!HIGH VOLTAGE STYLE!;)

I’m going to leave you with this: The next High Voltage is headlining RECON. Really - Need I say more? Producer of some of the BEST, Hardcore dance music that there is, an outstanding D.J and producer / master of the remix.

dont know what to say guys, but...... MUCH RESPECT TO YOU GUYS FOR HAVING US DOWN AND DOING WHAT WE DO BEST it was a much awaited gig tbh as me n mitch had talked about since we got the booking, and on the drive down we were hyping each other up and it seemed to work.

absolutely loved the high voltage venue / ravers / staff everything about it was A1, and that sound system !!!!!!!!!!!!!, it was a serious pleasure to play on it, it really felt like you were in the beat and the rythmn and was along for the ride of your life...

its one set that me and mitch both wish we,d recorded as it would of made an awsome demo to put out and about, but hey... you had to be there yeah, one for the memories, this is what hardcore raving is all about in my book, big beatz big bass and totally up for it ravers, a solid production from the HIGH VOLTAGE CREW , and if you,ve not been to one yet guys, GET YOUR ASS,S DOWN TO THE ANGEL IN BEDFORD you wont be dissapointed...

awsome night, awsome ravers, awsome event...... you getting my drift here.. AWSOME !!!!!!!!
