From a small independend artist, Alex M.O.R.P.H. made it to one of the leading producers and remixers in the global trance scene. With succesful remixes for Armin van Buuren, Woody van Eyden, ATB, Super 8 & DJ Tab, Mat Silver & Tony Burt and others, he became one of the most wanted remixers available.

His own singles "Flaming Clouds", "Unification" and "New Harvest", as well as the co-ops "Heavenly" with Woody van Eyden, "Live Less Ordinary" with Rank 1 or "Shift" with Mike Koglin all found their way into the record boxes of all the big players on the planet. His first solo artist album "Miles & M.O.R.P.H. - Live Less Ordinary" was only one further step into the future of his always rising carreer.

As a DJ himself, Alex M.O.R.P.H. travels around the world as well, playing in front of thousands of people. So far he looks back to big events like Mysteryland, Trance Energy or Nature One, and he will be seen in much more mega events in the future.

First off hi Alex, how are you? What have you been doing today?
Hi, I’m really good, thanks! I have been in the studio for 5 hours, and then I enjoyed a big rush hour, yay! :-(

What have you been upto so far this summer?
I was (and still am) busy with promoting my debut album “Purple Audio” worldwide, lots of touring and still finding the time to make plans for the upcoming months, doing remixes and preparing new single releases. So, a lot to do actually!

You are due to make your debut for us in Birmingham, have you heard much about the club and what are you looking forward to most?
Well, I heard loads of good things about Birmingham, landed there many times, but now is the time to give my debut and play there. I am looking forward to the vibe of Godskitchen and the crowd there. On the internet the club looks amazing........ let's rock Godskitchen!

You’ve recently released your album Purple Audio, tell us a bit about it?
It’s a versatile album with many different styles of electronic music and I worked together with some hot vocal artists to make it even more complex. It’s a mixed album with a defined timeline and I’m really proud of it! Check it out, it’s out now on VANDIT Records!

Are there any productions in the pipeline we should look out for? Perhaps an exclusive you may have for us at Godskitchen this month?
I just finished a remix for Loverush UK feat. Carla Werner “Give me your love”, which already received great feedback, and another remix for a track called “Sequence” is also finished. Good chance to hear it in Birmingham as well! Maybe there’s something exclusive too, but I’m not 100% sure yet ;-)

There was a recent – rather amusing - video on Youtube of Woody enjoying himself somewhat at the album launch in Bochum, can we expect similar antics from yourself at Godskitchen or will we be seeing a more reserved performance? I have seen it, yea, hahaha, that one’s a classic already, amazing. Believe it or not, Woody had 1 (one!) beer before this set! But that’s 100% him, getting totally nuts when he has a great time with hundrets of people in front of him.
I’m also a fan of interaction with the crowd, but don’t ever expect me to take my shirt off during a gig! Ok? Hahaha

On a serious note, it is good to see DJ’s enjoying themselves behind the decks, do you think the Trance scene has become a little serious in recent times? If so what would you do to change it?
It is good to have DJs who are not just standing behind the decks and raise their hands 2-3 times during the set! It’s about enjoying what they do, having a great time and providing a memorible thing for the crowd. That’s what a lot of DJs forget, not only in the Trance genre. I don’t really do any stunts as well, but always trying to make the people feel good and involved in the night.

If you could run an event at any venue in the world with any line up – money being no object – where would it be and what would the line up be?
New York, Big Apple, “Century Reunion – Open Air” with AvB, PvD, A&B, Ferry, Tijs, Woody and me all displayed on all screens !!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSS

What was the last piece of music you bought?
My own album “Purple Audio” at the airport. I just checked if they have it. They did!

What is the coolest thing in your house?
The Fridge ??

What’s the scariest thing that has ever happened to you?
A flight during really bad weather back from L.A to London's Heathrow for 5 hours! It still shakes me! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

how is your Goldfish “Peter” ?? and why is his name “Peter” ??
