This article is about Birmingham (UK)
One of Birmingham's best DJ/producers in electro house music, Will Bailey was exposed to music from an early age with his father playing Keyboards in bands such as Magnum and Whitesnake. Despite playing the guitar and drums Will decided on a different route and started Djing in 1998. Listening to the Love Groove Dance Party on Radio One kick-started his love for house music.
Seeing DJs such as Mousse T, Louie Vega, David Morales, Brian Tappert , Eric Morillo and Yousef further fuelled his love for the music. Upon moving to Bristol during 1999 Will gained his first residencies.
His unique brand of house music gained him residencies at Slinky, wildstyle, Funktion, Mango Bango, Supa-Stylin' and the massive bank holiday parties at Liquid and Shuffle.
In 2002 Will and two friends set up what is now Bristol's biggest party, the legendary 'Funkboat'. The boats third year saw guests such as Moneypenny's Simon Foresterio and Rock Solid's and Solid Soul's Pete Doyle.
Will has spun at many venues including Liquid, Bar Latino's, The Level, and the Carling Academy. Will has also played in Cardiff at Wales' premier house night, L'America. He's also played alongside the likes of the legendary Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero, Farley Jackmaster funk, marshall Jefferson and CJ Mackintosh.
2004 saw Will become resident for Bristol's premier house night, Kandy box playing alongside DJs such as Benni Benassi, Seb Fontaine, Yousef, Lottie and CJ Mackintosh. The winter of 2004 also saw Will's relocation to Birmingham where Will regularly guests at Superclub, Godskitchen and has guested at Miss Moneypennys and Plastic.
In 2005 Will's first solo production was released titled 'Rootin'. Will's second production 'that piano track' was then signed up by Miss Moneypennys for their own label. During the summer of 2005 Will played abroad in Spain for the Kandybox summer tour.
In 2006 Will still remains as resident for Bristols premier house night Kandy Box where this year he has played alongside Mylo, Seb Fontaine, The Shapefifters, Timo Maas, Eric Prydz, Mark Knight and Deepgroove. July saw the release of Will's third project, 'And Again'.
