Birmingham Pride weekend The Pride weekend launches with a Carnival Parade on the Saturday. The Parade will feature a rallying call from a prominent gay and lesbian speaker, who will launch the event from Birmingham City Centre. The parade will then wind its way down to the Birmingham Gay Village, where the party gets started. The Pride event also includes a Street Festival, boasting numerous gay and lesbian stalls, more funfair rides than ever before, street entertainers, a dance tent and mini-stage arenas featuring live acts and DJs
