Good gig, quiet and calm in comparison to most
It was a great gig for any fans of the goo goo dolls or anyone who prefers a slower and calmer gig. It was by far the least rowdy or hyper/exciting gig i have ever been to and was on a similar sort of par with a dashboard confessional one they had there about 18months ago. There was a singular support band on to start with called the Directors and then the main act came on. Standard kind of entrance and straight into some of their decent songs. They played a set for a little over an hour and pleased the crowd very much. Only about 4 people crowd-surfing, no moshing, as I say, very very calm. I managed to take a good number of photos, all of the bands really as its not the sort of gig or event where you can go and take photos of random people (plus my spotters cards not arrived yet). The gig did however end about 40mins early and so was slightly disappointing, would have expected a second support band, came away with the feeling that the ticket price was maybe a little much for what it was in the end. Still, the place was absolutely packed out and sold out. All in the main room only bu with the upstairs open also so people could watch and crowd around the balcony.
