The Dutch are hotter than hot right now, dominating the world-stage and grabbing the attention of the world’s A-list pop, R&B and hip-hop stars including P. Diddy, Black Eyed Peas, Missy Elliott, NERD and David Guetta. And LAIDBACK LUKE, HARDWELL and NICKY ROMERO, are amongst the leaders. Following road-blocked events at Gatecrasher Birmingham in 2011 the Dutch trio make a triumphant return alongside special guests and fellow Dutch stars SUNNERY JAMES and RYAN MARCIANO.
Leading the charge is Gatecrasher favourite and in demand dance-floor devastator Holland’s House Music Lovin’ Homeboy LAIDBACK LUKE. Already a global superstar courtesy of world-wide smashes including ‘Show Me Love’ with Robin S, ‘Get Dumb’ and ‘Leave The World Behind’ with Swedish House Mafia, and remixes for the likes of Daft Punk, David Guetta, Murk, Oliver Lieb, and Tom Stephan, 2011 was the most exciting in Laidback Luke’s career. As well as topping the charts with Example with club smash “Natural Distaster “, his super-hero themed party, Super You&Me had a storming third season at Amnesia Ibiza and Luke kick started a compilation series with Laidback Luke presents....Super You&Me featuring Avichii via his own label Mixmash Records.
Joining LUKE is HARWDELL who makes a triumphant return to the club. At only 23 his expertise and illustrious talent has catapulted him into the limelight as he joined world renowned Tiesto on his tour last year. In 2011 alone Hardwell remixed huge hits such as Taio Cruz, Hangover (Hardwell Remix), Marin Solveig ft. Kele, Ready 2 Go (Hardwell Remix) and the huge DJ Fresh ft. Sian Evans hit, Louder (Hardwell Remix). This new kid on the block, with exceptional technical skills mastered by touring the world, has firmly cemented his status as a true pioneer in the dance music industry. His “Big Room House” trademark has catapulted him to the #24 spot in the coveted DJMAG Top 100 poll. The young gun is already at the top of his game playing the main stage at Creamfields and releasing Beatport top ten hits including 'Encoded', 'The World' and 'Cobra' through his own label Revealed. His storming collaboration with Tiësto on hit record Zero 76 went to #1 on Beatport and received a huge amount of airplay worldwide. Behind the decks Hardwell never fails to deliver. These days he’s bringing it to the masses, with performances all over the world from Sydney to Miami and Ibiza to London.
Dutch whiz-kid NICKY ROMERO joins this mammoth Dutch invasion. At just 22-years-old, Nicky Romero is the latest Dutchman to break through onto the international stage. In 2011 he made his debut on Calvin Harris's Fly Eye records with 'Camorra', a peak-time house/trance hybrid, adding to a discography that already includes official remixes of everyone global legend David Guetta, to techno visionary Green Velvet. It’s been a fast ascension to stardom for the young DJ. In 2009 he remixed Sidney Samson and Tony Cha Cha’s track Get On The Floor and a bootleg for David Guetta entitled When Love Takes Over grabbing the attention of Ministry of Sound. My Friend supported by Tiesto, Axwell, Fedde le Grand, Sander van Doorn hit number #4 in the Beatport worldwide overall chart. And 2011 saw Romero release plenty of remixes such as Where Them Girls At by David Guetta featuring Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj, What A Feeling by Alex Gaudino featuring Kelly Rowland, Stronger by Erick Morillo and Rockin’ High by Ben Liebrand. Nicky has recently signed with David Guetta, forging an incredible relationship with one of the world’s most innovative urban dance producers, starting with the release of a new single Jack Back ft. David Guetta, Nicky Romero and Sia.
Completing the line-up is superstar Dutch tag team SUNNERY JAMES and RYAN MARCIANO who make an exciting Gatecrasher debut. After effectively dominating 2011, Sunnery and Ryan have their sights set high for 2012. The duo have quickly ascended into the upper echelon of dance music producers with the release of monster anthems like ‘Tribeca’ and their remake of Tiesto’s ‘Lethal Industry.’ Fans and tastemakers all have supported each Sunnery and Ryan release with the latter track being a weapon of choice for Armin van Buuren, Sander van Doorn, David Guetta and the list goes on and on. Pete Tong made Lethal Industry his ‘Essential Selection’ not once, but twice! Steve Angello scooped up their tune ‘Markuzza’ for his Size Records imprint realizing early on what a masterpiece it was. A release date is pending and the duo put a big room, electro spin on Ferry Corsten’s latest hit, ‘Aint No Stoppin’. Sunnery and Ryan DJ sets are becoming the stuff of legend. They embody dance music fully, bringing the crowd to epic peaks, arms in the air and smiles all around. From the USA to Mexico, Brazil to Guatemala, The Netherlands, The UK, Asia, Russia and all points in between, these two house music champions are breaking new ground one country at a time.
