21:00 - Well the night started out really well, at opening time (9pm) Kieren & I were really excited to see how the night would unfold. Jenko steps up to the decks and played a total blinder of a set, just what the night needs to get everybody in the mood and to set the pace for the rest of the night!

22:00 – Time for the Saint! Opens up with a total Monster of a track and really got the room rocking, not to mention the tool he bought along i.e. the old trusty Air Horn! Finally finishing his set with the all time classic House of Pain – Jump Around (Mickey Slim Remix) which went down a treat just like nana’s chicken salad!

During the Saints set the Owner of the Rooty grabbed my partner in crime Kieren and dragged him to the disabled toilets. Next thing I know I’ve got this guy screaming down my face telling me “some fucking prick taller than 5’7 has punched a hole in my lovely toilets causing £800 of damage to my graffiti!!! Anyone taller than you, get them fucking out right now!” – Now I’m 5’10 anyway not 5’7 so that means myself too. This guy wasn’t calming down, so Kieren tried talking to him and he just got more wound up and eventually laid it down that we had to “Fuck” the DJ off and eject everybody or his going to call his “Boys” from across the round and some heads are going to get “Stomped” out. At this point I’m not feeling the love and as this guy keeps on and demanding us to stop the night, and I was in the mood to just pull the night and go home to bed. But after leaving him to calm down for about 15 minutes I approached him again with a calm attitude and we cam to the agreement that I’ll pay for the damages and deal with this professionally, which I was trying to do from the very start anyway, as the last thing I need on the launch party… is a bad rep! After sorting it out I apologized for bringing a “Prick” into his “nice chilled” club and ruining a toilet wall and shook hands and both went our own ways for the rest of the night. END OF!

23:00 – Jay Lowe turns up which was kind of a scary thing as we had tried to contact him for day and nothing, so we were thinking worst of the worst, he wasn’t going to show! But Ta-Da!! He did and played a quality blend of electro & techy style house! Loving it!!!

At this point in the night I’m still very put off by what had happened less than an hour ago. I’m totally not really feeling the night what so ever at the min, and if I wasn’t nervous enough going into this place hosting our own night and also DJing in front of all my friends. Long story short… I was bricking it! I couldn’t focus properly and just really wanted out!

00:00 – My time to shine I suppose? Started the set off with a beast of an electro style trancer by Gleave Dobbins’s Fire Devil! Which I think went down a treat, but no matter how hard the crowds were rocking it, I just couldn’t get into the zone, and in my opinion I played really crap, kept missing the cue points and couldn’t concentrate on the task in hand! So enough on me… Skip to end!

01:00 – Chu steps up to the wheels of steel and storms it completely! Played some monster techno and some nice cheeky remixes *ahem* :-p All I can really say about this set was he just killed it and set a perfect end to what was a “perfect” night!

Well done everyone who showed up and supported ‘GroundZero’ and we hope to see you all again soon and our next event, which is to be confirmed very soon! Keep your ears to the ground!

Yeah man loved it roll on the 18th!! And the trusty horn is back this time it will be glowing. I found out its a glow in the dark one hahaha classic.
