What a night!!!!!
Turned up at Rooty's expecting the usual quiet night with some half decent music and what a surprise i got. I walked in half way through the Dave is Dead (bout 12) set and the place was kickin....heaving with sweaty, happy people and truly buzzing!!!!! I don't think i've ever seen Rootys so full. A truly jacking bouncin electronic house set from Dave was followed by a more traditional Techno affair with The next DJ really bangin it out and pumpin the crowd up. One of the DJ's I met (Hoggins) came after with a more intelligent electronic/ Tech House set to round things off and kept the crowd dancing unitl the early hours.
The people were great, met a couple of the promoters and DJ's who were really freindly, not at all up their own arse like at some nights i've been to!!! (mentioning no names!).
A strange man in a disturbing horses head was jacking around to the music, free cd's and bagdes, utter madness. SO a truly great night cheap beer, open till 6am and fantastic fresh, underground music. You'll be hard pushed to find a better night out in Brum
