hello this my reveiw of B2T @ subway in birmingham 20th october


this was an amazing night , a freindly but sweaty night , there was a brilliant attmosphere in the air , people were friendly and welcomeing, the music was top notch too.

it was a long long night
i arrived at around 12 and was met by a loud bouncy sound of infectious beats .
i checked out all rooms and decided where i wanted to be for the night at the bar!!

not being biased but at the start of the night i stayed in the FUNKdeluxe arena, and it was a good choice, the tunes were good and a welcoming sound compared to the B2T main arena which was bouncy hard house.

the club has hosted some amazing nites in the past , would this be another one! i was due to find out , .

the hardcore room was too much for me ! could not of stayed in there any longer but this is a reveiw so i did , the line up in this room was big and so were the tunes , live mcs and scratching djs , the faithfull hardcore followers stayed from start to finish and i salute you!

the decor was good and the lights and visuals were really good too.
the drinks prices were good to only £2.75 a pint!!

everybody that dressed up did in style , there were sexy school girls, naught head masters and ..... danger mouse... i kid you not¬!


its now about 2am and i am setteling down for DARK BY DESIGNS set wow it blew me away , in my head i was converting back to playing hard house!! i was loveing it dark by design was loveing and so were the crown , there were horns glow stiks the lot , his technical mixing was amazing.

3am now and off to the FUNKdeluxe arena and off to see GAZ HUNT, now gaz hunt plays subway alot but normally he plays hard and banging house but not this time , this time it was a funky / jacking / vocal house set , boy done good and proved he is a pro. this was his debut for FUNKdeluxe and he rocked it , now back to the main arena....
its 3.30am and time to juggle between funky house and hard dance, i opted for the hard dance just to see the new queen of hard dance , KYM AYRES apsolutley rocked the joint she was so so good to watch , dressed to kill and playing for the crowd, she played possibly the best set of the night, a mix of mashed up old tracks and new , she kept me going all night untill i played at 6am.


time for a break now so i went and checked out the people there, totally amazing people, dedicated to there music , now its about 5am and im in need of some thing to wake me up.... only one thing will do.... some hard dance , so again back to the B2T arena for one of the big names of the night GUYVER flanked by two sexy dancer his set started to be honest and fair i was not impressed at all and i dont think some of the crowd were either, i got that because they were walking around with fingers in there ears .... why you ask well he started playing drum and bass! the dance floor emptied , i could not listen any more, it was a boring set for that time of night.

right its my turn now ,its 6am and i have been asked to start earlyer, fine by me , i was expecting to walk in to an empty room , just because of the time ! but fair play to the FUNKdeluxe boys and girls they knew what they were doing it was rammed! ,
i took over and instantly felt part of the room , i played a sexy dirty funky set , the people were buzzing , i have never had my hand shook so much ... and at the end of the set the chant of MORE MORE.

to round it off this night was amazing FUNKdeluxe by far were the winners of the night and all djs on the night played there part in making it an amazing night

b2t were the winners mate you put on an amazing night , all the djs on the night made you the winners, FUNKdeluxe shined out at 6am! by still going!!

Hmm I guess it's personal preference.... I absolutely loved the hardcore room... couldn't get enough! One of my fave sets of the night was Adam Harris, he absolutely smashed the hardcore room, I hope to see him at B2T sometime soon. As usual K-Ryan, Livewire and Strange Dave played blinders in there and Mister Stewarts set with Crystal Blu and Emily Sills was awesome. 2 fabulous ladies with amazin voices. Big up to JK as well... showing how MCs can compliment the music as opposed to shouting over it!!

One of my fave sets in the main room was Guyver's... absolutely banging, I loved it. Another one I'd love to see return to B2T.

All in all an awesome night, I agree that the ravers all made a super special effort and looking down on the main room with everyone having it in uniform made a pretty cool sight.

Nice review above but I have to say it was B2T who were the winners for me without a doubt... Subway is a fab venue but B2T make the best use of the space bringing in the dungeon, another wicked night... bring on October!! x x x x
