Karma November 19th will host a Winding Road Records Party at The Boiler Room Birmingham. Check out a rare DJ set from Crazy Penis’s Jim Baron (Ron Basejam) and Chris Todd (Hot Toddy). Also appearing are label mates Schmoov! Live with DJ’s John Buckby and Andre Bonsor, including live sax, percussion, trombone, keys, and on the fly arrangement. Also exclusive Karma resident DJ Jim Breese will warm things up. Expect a night of underground sounds encompassing Deep Disco, Punk Funk, Booties, Edits and some old fashioned Feel Good House, sure to have the girls singing along. Crazy P_ Its time for Crazy P! They caused a roadblock outside London’s Cargo Club in March and rocked the Lovebox in July. Crazy Penis have changed name and applied the lipstick and gloss to their brand new artist album “A Night On Earth” It’s sheer quality, with an abundance of sex appeal. They’ve turned up the heat and become even more groovier… Is that possible? Just check out their first album single “Lady T” which is already receiving weekly plays on Pete Tongs “Essential Selection”. Crazy P “A Night On Earth” Is released on Shiva records in September. www.shivarecordings.com Schmoov!_ It’s early 2001 and cool house labels- Paper, Nuphonic, DIY and the Jazz In The House compilation were the soundtrack to our underground. At this time Schmoov! released their highly acclaimed album “While You Wait”. It took the industry by storm and included the highlight record and Jim Breese Café Mambo classic “Destination” A timeless Jazz House track also picked up by Groove Armada for their successful “Back To Mine” compilation. The latest Schmoov! releases can be heard on www.windingroadrecords.com
