righto, we'll start of saying apologies for the lack of a specific valve review, as i spent most of the night in Med-Bar, due to the suprising and yet so special sets provided by all the crew that played.
the night kicked off when we got in on time, hurried off to visit the man we all know,

Lee"Tempest",the provider for us DJ's lol. smashing it dwn with early for all the an empty room through which was a shame, but netherless personally, i loved the tunes played, and the mixin was great regardless that teh headphones provided were broken

Caught a glimpse of the Phase 2 set in the Valve arena, obvs i was hearing early Dillinja tunes, with those grimey grindey basslines, but as it was early i had a few people to catch up with and chat to, its the start of the night remember lol. so i didnt really pay much attention.

as the photo's portray, i was present for most of Jayeye's set, this is what set it off early for me, playing those deep liquid tunes, rumbling basslines, and fluid beats rolling through your body.
great tunes played out to the crowd, by this time was slowly starting to increase.Shout out to Shakk for the skankin, nice one mate.

half way through i decided to rush along to witness a personal favourite, Break, As soon as i stepped down to teh aren on the valve system, i knew that it just felt "right" everyone was skanking down to those rolling beats, most the regulars were down and dirty to this guy, no messing around here. playing tunes throughout the labels and showing us a real set. (If U Want More, get down to Magnetik this friday for Fierce, shedding some true Quarantine Flavours, ticketsellers.co.uk).

as the end of jayeyes set came to close i witnessed the next dj up, residing from oxford, Transit Mafia. Was expecting a little bit more here but netherless the room was filling, and with the quick cut mixing there was that "special" vibe going around. i couldnt out my finger on it, but it just worked, and so far the night in med bar kept me on lockdown, i just couldnt leave!

had a bit of a chill during the last 15-20 minutes of transit, met a few more locals, took a few pics of teh event, strolling round like, conversing with the crews. (award for most excited person goes to Xtra-C, Ive never seen u so hyped man, big ups).
caught a quick drink, and the usual, a break so to speak, and get ready for the guy they call high contrast.
Personally i find High Contrast highly skeptical, the last few sets played have been the lovey dovey dancey beats, which have near enuff been repeated all over. but this one was different, teh commercial "vibe" which he usually brought along wasnt present, but he was armed with Johnny L's remix of "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" a deep rolling tunes, taking you off your feet and twisting up ya brain. the room was obviously filled with ravers, a slow increment all night led to this, regular Factory fans, and the not so regular fans awaiting this set. personally i was actually enjoying it, nice deep tunes, like ive stated not what you'd expect from Welsh Bred High Contrast.

Nu:Tone, also and old favourite non the less, came open with a very suprising set, launching tunes into the air like a fire juggler, a memorable tune "Make It Happen" - Break really stauck in my head, as a present tune in my personal top ten. dont really kno what was going on with teh system in medbar, and it did cut out a fair few times through out, and thsi has happened a lot recently, lets hope it does actually gets sorted out soon.shame really, would of enjoyed the set more if it didnt cut out.

as i spent most of my night in medbar i decided to get out of my liquid shell and take a walk over to the marquee, as i werent really fussed about who was playing, it came to a suprise that Mr Bailey was launching some heavy weight tunes. stood at teh side of teh marquee to chill out and witness the fitness of this guys mixing, was ok, but teh tunes that were selected, my gosh i nearly had a wet dream, really heavy tunes played. As previous sets go bailey has always been a hit n miss guy, and you never really know what he's gonna pull out of his bag.

like the rest of us, i needed a quick break, obvs to hit the toilets, hit the bar and get on down.
A next favourite in my books, was next up, with recent mixes (Dogsonacid.com/mixes) showing the true power of mixing, Logistics was next up.
smashing it. simple as, logistics has slowly steered away from the traditional Hospital type mixing and tunage. as witnessed in his recent awarded album(Reality Checkpoint - Sold at Tempest Records) we heard the leading tune, "daybreak Sequence" and another well known track by Misanthrop - "Viperfish". it was an interesting set to watch personally, watching how he differs the mixing from any other dj, im not going to state what's different about it, but when u listen to the sets, u can understand why he is one of the Scenes leading characters.

unfotunatly my night was coming to an end due to other circumstances, and had to leave 2/3's the way through the set.


unfortunatly i couldnt type much up about the actually Valve soundsystem as i was taken away by the hospital crew, and foremost i was dissapointed i missed Zero T's Set, im sure the valve arena was good, but from what i was witnessing as a whole really didnt stand up to recent events, and it deffinatly had nothing over the Commix LP launch. but generally a good night, shame i wasnt as busy as previous nights but still non the less, a good night out, a quick shout and happy birthday to Poz's Sister on friday, soz its late,
