E:Volve rocks the custard yet again!
well i for one had an amazing night at the custard factories 13th birthday, I know i'm bias as hell but E:Volve's poolside antics rocked the entire complex! the poolside stage looked the dogs danglies as E:Volve transformed it into a UV poolside paradise! ... the poolside tunes were pumping from start to finish... ROB DIAZ and DION played what was for me, the set of the night... considering it was rob's first techno set i was well impressed.
I was a bit dissapointed with all of the other rooms on saturday, the fact that there was no effort made in the production was a real let down... when i hear the words Ministry of Sound i expect a full on light show, Visual production, decor that immerses the venue and up front, fresh new music... all i felt we got was "the factory" the same as any other night that goes on in there. not that the music being played in there was really my thing anyway.
I can only really use this review to comment on the Kitchen and Poolside stage as i barely ever left the confines of that single corner. which was pumping all night ling i must add. so here is my "sort of" review for the whole Kitchen Korner!

the only problem with the kitchen was the fact that the MC was drowning out the music with his 100mph jibberish that was so loud and distorted that it ruined the whole DnB vibe, the tunes that were being played in there were top banana(what i could hear) and the 5minutes that the MC closed his mouth were pure bliss. but these periods were few and far between... a total shame in my opinion.
The Poolside stage hosted by E:Volve was never going to dissapoint. the whole production was top notch, just what we have come to expect from an E:Volve party... the music was great all night long, the atmosphere was second to none as always and the lights and decor complimented the custrard factory brilliantly. Mucho Gracias to Mr Bosh for filling in for Alex Towse at the start of the night, he got the festivities started with a great warm up set. then Riggsy done the buisness as always and delivered a pumping tech set to kick things off nicely. the next DJ was a bit of a let down for me to be honest, his mixing was a bit erm...well...yeah!... after that the 1's n 2's were graced with the gruesome twosome themselves... with probably the best set that was played all night ROB DIAZ n DION smashed it out big time with a tech set of XXX filthiness. chad parker hit the decks next and played things down a little to get ready for the main man himself Aaron liberator. sadly i was elsewhere during this set so cant really comment but Pablo came on after to bang it out to the death with an amazing set to finish off the night.

Next E:Volve is The Christmas Free Party at the custard factory on friday 12th December 2008

SCUM LIKE US 2nd room

what better way to bring in the christmas cheer than with a party the likes you have never seen before! with probably the best line up this side of 2009 and the vibe that you only experience at an evolve party... youd be silly to miss this one!!!!

Good review dan, I thought the M.O.S room was a let down, banging tunes at times, but not consistent, and also a flat atmosphere. The peeps in there dancing were in their own lil groups & not much happy raving in that room I thought. And what was that white room about? is that what they call minimal house? fuck me, it was pants! I walked in there & walked out 5mins later & did not venture in again all night. Dions set was the best for me of the night, as for the D&B room... hmm not my style, I didn't get the vibe in there & like you thought the mc-in was too much, but each to their own. I like the Evolve side of these parties as all you peeps are real people, chilled out friendly, more underground if you know what I mean?

I'm currently rounding up the troops for free christmas party, Me & my friend kelly, the girl who danced & bounced hardcore all night with riggsy, we're deffo coming, and probably many more of us too. So see you there Dan, can't wait!!!
