THANK YOU!!
Thank you to everyone who attended the event on Saturday.

All of those of you who made generous donations on entry get another big THANK YOU.

The 2 red charity boxes everyone was asked to put come money upon entry raised a total of £177.41 for Hereford Hospice.

Acorns Childrens Hospice

The money will be paid by cheque to the hospice this week. We will then scan and put post a copy of the receipt for this payment from the hospice.

JUST FOR THE RECORD... MADDERS / SUNDISSENTIAL DID NOT MAKE ANY MONEY FROM THIS EVENT. THE EVENT MADE A LOSS HOWEVER THE CHARITY STILL BENEFITED DUE TO THE KIND DONATIONS INTO THE SEALED CHARITY BUCKETS.

For those of you who did not have an enjoyable night I would like to apologise on behalf of the sundissential team.

To address a few other issues;

Sound System (Hardcore)

Towards the middle of the night there was a problem with the sound system in the hardcore arena, this sound system and all other kit in that room is the clubs own kit. We had the custard factory sound engineer on site through this event. As soon as we were able to locate him, (which took quite a while) the problem was fixed.

The sound system during Riggsy’s set (Sundissentisl Room)

This arena is usually an empty art gallery. For this room the sound system was supplied Adam at the custard factory. Adam and Joe from the custard factory unfortunately did not have the sound system set up in time for Riggsy to do a sound check. For this reason it did not sound as good as it would have if Riggsy had of managed to do his sound check.

BELOW IS A QUOTE FROM SHAUN H (Sundissential)

Equipment was not set up, sound engineer had only just turned up and was more concerned with wandering around aimlessly chatting to people rather than having this all done, sound checked and ready to go by midday on Saturday... no it was only at 8:15 when the lights went up in the 'main' room and they started to set up the dj equipment at about 8:45, no sound check, no limitation set just straight in to music @ about 9:30.

Then as people were loitering around, not knowing what to do i was instructed to go with the sound engineer and fetch a huge fuck off table to put in the main room and also to lug 2 bass bins up 2 flights of stairs along with 2 top speakers (bearing in mind this was 8:45 and the event was supposed to open at 9) to put in the juniorssential room which was bare,...

Once the system was wired up, there was just tops plugged in and the bass bins were just acting as speaker stands for the tops.

Organ Donors & Dark By Design.

These acts were booked to play and turned up on time to perform their sets. At the time they arrived the money from the door till had been confiscated by the custard factory management to try and ensure the rental costs, doorstaff, sound system hire, (eane tho given the choice we would not have chosen to pay this due to the amount of problems and the fact the systems were not ready on time) lighting hire and drinks rider costs were paid. The custard factory were aware of the numbers through the door during the night and had got suspicious about the profitability of the event. In order to safeguard their money they confiscated all monies in the door till. By the custard factory confiscating the door money, this meant there was no money available to pay the final 2 acts (Dark by Design) and (Organ Donors) on arrival. They were informed of what had gone on by both Sundissential representatives and the venue management. They were also informed that this was a charity event with all profits going to the Hereford Hospice. They were given the choice of playing or not playing and they both decided not to play.

As stated before Madders / Sundissential did not make ANY money from this event. The event was a charity event to benefit the Hereford Hospice. All of those out there calling Sundissential money grabbers should maybe stop to ask yourself, are you comments really justified? Because this event has lost money however the charity has still benefited.

Once again sorry to those of you who didnt enjoy your night and THANK YOU again for those of you who put donations into the charity boxes.

After taking into account stories from both punters and DJ's alike, this room will now be hosted by E:VOLVE instead,

How many more times does Sundissential want to rip people off?

I personaly think Evolve is a much better night that althogh people who run it dont most of the time make any money out of the nights they put on, they always think about clubbers and djs first and make sure they have a top night.

So your saying even though some people were forced to pay £10 as you couldn't give change they only made £177.41 I some how doubt that. Most people will normally donate a pound if not more so your saying that there was less than 180 in the club all night bearing in mind I've heard of at least 5 people saying they had to pay £5 / £10 "donation" as they didn't have change.

I didn't go but it upsets me that this is what Sundissential has become.

I went to my first SS in August 1997 at Pulse and it was one of the best club nights around. I followed it from Pulse to The Que Club, then to DNA, then the Academy then to the Sanctuary and around the venues it used in Leeds and slowly over the years it has gone more and more downhill.

Just the fact that only £177 was made for charity is disapointing and as a fan of Tony De Vits I find it rather disrespectful that this event which was meant to be the last ever memorialto him has ended up being an event talked about more for the shady stuff going on rather than the actual point of the event.

But then what do you expect from Sundissential these days?

I can't believe that sunnies even have the cheek to try and justify any of the shambolic goings on of saturday night! Its insulting to the clubbers to think for one second that we are going to believe the bullshit. Its funny how so many of the issues have had no response i.e. steve thomas not playing (altho i think we all knew even before the event that he was never booked) and why only £177.41 was made for the charity. Sunnies have well and truly lost their loyal following now and all because of the money hungry greedy promoters who are only in it for their own gain. Its such a shame to see it go from what it used to be back in the early days to this but at least now Madders, Nathan etc have been shown up for what they really are, it makes way for nights like Evolve who are more deserving of success and are always thinking about the clubbers.
