Whats happened to the old sunnis?
I must admit we didnt stay for a great length of time! About 45 mins! lol. Was really looking forward to this one, the birthdays have always been awesome & one of the highlights of the year for me & my stomping buddies. But gone r the days of bouncing off the walls in its true home back at the sanctuary in a sea of red & yellow! Wheres all the happiness & randomness gone? I have to say we wern't very impressed by the venue. After expecting the night 2 be as good as the classics night held @ the q club in May, which was just like the good old sunnis i remember. We were left wondering around for ages trying to find the main hard house arena! When it eventually materialized it was about the size of our living room @ home & tuneage seemed to have seriously crossed over into the darkside! No bouncy happy beats but dark sinister millitary type stuff. However the most amuseing part of the night was seeing madders demoted to his new role supervising the coates in the cloakroom lol! We did try & give it a chance having travelled all the way 2 brum, but couldn't bear it any longer so decided to cut our losses & do the unthinkerble & brave a cheesy towny club in full cyber haha! So to sum it up we were sad 2 the end of hard house as we know it. Sundissential R.I.P u will be missed

haha I'm so glad I boycotted this now, I swore I'd never do another sunnies event again after the shambles that was hardcore nation one, now I think it's time ppl forgot the glory days of sunnies coz they're gone.. See them for what they are lieing moneygrabbing has beens! Sunnies is well and truly dead and a burden to the scene

Surely you read the line up before booking your tickets?

Yes but they believed they'd actually be seeing the advertised line up for some reason!

I wasn't there so I can't comment on all of the original statement, but i know the line up was filth and harder music, which is what she got, but didn't like. I wouldn't go to a bounce event if I didn't like bounce.

Anyway, after what I heard happen behind the scenes I doubt there will be another one anyway :o)

I had a right good un, and all my mates!! I have at the last 4 birthdays, even with everything that goes on! Things never stay the same forever, times change you've just gotta love it, or leave it in the past. I'd have it back in the skanctuary, but thats not gonna happen. When it went from Pulse to the Sanctuary I bet everyone said the sanctuary was crap. And it was quite cold, but now we smokers have to go outside anyway it was wkd that I could go 4 a smoke and still be on the dancefloor. Its a bit pants that it cost £20 and the big names didnt even play, but the DJs held it together (mostly) and some Jnrssential DJs like Shane Tate got to play in the main room, and played a bangin set! Its shit that people weren't getting change so paying £30 and I'd be pissed off 2, but I had a wicked time at sunnies, and at the afterparty at Plug.

A MESSAGE FROM Q CLUB RE: SUNDISSENTIAL AT FANTAZIA NYE

We at the Q Club have had news of the events that unfolded after and during the TDV Memorial Night at the Custard Factory this past weekend, filtered back to us and upon checking the feedback on forums such as this we have decided to act decisively.
We cannot and DO NOT want to associate ourselves with a brand that causes so much unrest and unhappiness amongst the most important people to any night... YOU, the clubbers.
Originally, Sundissential was permitted a room within our NEW YEARS EVE FANTAZIA event based on the premise of providing a room of quality hard dance for its followers.
After taking into account stories from both punters and DJ's alike, this room will now be hosted by E:VOLVE instead, a brand we KNOW are committed to their fan base and their performers and one that we have every confidence in.
From a business point if view, we at the Q Club have categorically decided that it is harmful for the venue and the other brands involved on NYE to be associated with Sundissential after this and E:VOLVE represents a much clearer certainty of throwing a people based party with the clubbers in mind.
To finish, SUNDISSENTIAL will now be replaced by E:VOLVE at the Q CLUBS FANTAZIA NEW YEARS EVE EVENT.

Thank you

thanks glad you enjoyed it !!!!!!!

hi guys hope you are all ok ???

to be honest i had a mint night, i was booked to play btb with potta in the jr room from 12 - 1 which we were going to do a tdv classic trade set, when we turned up the monitor was only working on one channel so i managed to get another cable and sorted that prob out while midi distortion was on. me and potta came on at 12 ready for a mint time when i had a problem right in the middle of the dawn the cdj stopped. not good!!!!! then right near the end of our set it stopped again on are you all ready even worse. then we realised that the dj's were not playing after us so we continued and this time made up for it playing some classics which i hope you enjoyed we did.

set finished now time to try and enjoy the rest of the night had a look round as this was the first time i had been to the custard factory and started to enjoy my night. We were outside and noticed the organ doners were not happy and was not playing which was a shame then about 3 30am tony from shine where myself and john r was playing b2b asked if i wanted to play in main room (BIG THANK YOU). it was a shame about the circumsantces but we played, me and john loved it and played our hearts out and i hope you lot enjoyed too it was an experiance for us both which it wouldn't have been for the ppl dancing and having a good time.

Its a shame what can happen in this scene these days but always remember as long as your passionate about the music and there are dj's that want to play it you can still enjoy it. I understand the frustration that comes from problems like this and how the clubbers feel.

Thank you again tony and big thank you to you clubbers!!!!!!!!

SHANE :-)

ps dont forget to catch me at crafty this friday !!!!!

Everyone has there different opinion on it!! but hardhouse is far from tired out!! theres still plenty of hardhouse events...i think its coz half the dj's that where around a few years ago are not here today...to this day i still listen to lab4 that played at sunnies years ago...shame they split up they were ace!!

I didnt go saturday night so i cant comment on what it was like...Its all about the music :)
