Sundissential - F**king joke
For those who didn't go, you didnt miss much. Here's why...

Forced to 'donate' to a local charity AKA Madders pocket - no donation no entry

The 3 main djs didn't play
Steve Thomas
Darkbydesign
Organ Donors

Riggsy emptied the room after a wicked set by james, col and not sure who 3rd guy was. Music style was all over the place, hard, bounce, hardstyle, hard bounce

No tribute set

Lights came on in 'main room' at 5.30

Decor, sound system and organisation piss poor

Thought I would give the even a try and missed the storm tdv and havent been the sunnies in a few year. I was told to call Madders by his partner about concerns I had about Steve Thomas not turning up and, Madders' said if for some reason he couldn't get Steve over from Spain he would replace quality with quality, lying twat.

Can honestly say, I will NOT be lining Madder's pockets ever again

Such a shame they had to use Tony's name to make money

Steve will be over on February 14th next year 100% confirmed, he says he is sorry he never played but wasnt booked.
It's shambolic. TDV must be turnining in his grave seeing robbing cunts use his name to pocket a few bob. It's about time the Sundissential management gave this up as they clearlty have no idea how to do anything other than steal and lie. Time after time we see the same comments following SS events. Surely there must be something that can be done legally - trades description act etc. If it was a one off you could understand but this takes the piss.

Madders - Fuck off and do something useful. You have ZERO respect from anyone in the clubbing community and it's about time you ducked out and stopped taking the piss out of those people that have so much faith that 'perhaps this one will be better'. You've destroyed what was possibly the best hard dance promotion ever and turned it into a crackheads joke. Loser

well said.

I didn't think he was booked even though Madders told me he was 100% booked. Gutted to hear Steve will be playing on 14th Feb as I'm in Thailand. Keep us posted for any future events though

Not his fault at all, he was allowed a limited sound check which sounded fine, but when he went to play the sound system was fucked. Dunno whether this was from poor system equipment or the Dj's before messing with the levels, but this was not RIGGSY'S fault at all. The whole Evolve production team was really looking forward to the gig, and was very disappointed at the end of the night.

SUNDISSENTIAL SUCKS ASS

Same things are said after all sundis events!

If id had gone to see dj's that didn't turn up id be pissed but if they dont get paid u cant blame them.

Riggsy was given 2 mins to do a sound check, which is clearly not enough with all the equipment he has! Not his fault at all as he rocks big time!

I had a good time, tho I didn't pay to get in and wasn't bothered about most of the hard dj's on.

thats the main thing that pissed me off, finding out my mates had to "donate" his £10 note cos they wouldnt give him any change or let him in

Is there anything legally that stops you picketing and protesting outside the next event? I'm all in favour of that - stop madders the cunts pockets being lined

Definitely not the DJs before, as i went & stood in front of the main speakers at one point during mine and Cols set and it sounded sweet... Its a shame a decent sound check wasnt allowed for by the sound engineers, i heard Riggsy live at the Q club and the sound quality was fine then.

What he said^^^

I was on from 12-1 sound was ok ish near the monitor, but from where riggsy was there would have been a delay

Riggsy emptied the room

As an official statement from Riggsy Id like to explain.

Riggsy Live as Im sure your aware consists of many pieces of equipment linked together thru Digital Mixing Desk (yamaha 01x for any sound engineers out there). This signal is then sent to the dj mixer and onto the sound system. In Riggsys contract it states he must have an hour to sound check before any event. We turned up at 6.30pm to set up allowing us plenty of time for riggsy to set up and sound check to enable him to make any changes in sound levels required for different systems and also to tune his guitars which often go out of tune in transit. Also a sound engineer must be on standby during his set. The stageing was not set up until 8.15 which when riggsy had finished setting up at 8.55 it left him no time to sound check at all as the first dj came on at 9! The sound engineer pluged him in somewhere then left the building not returning until 5.30am!(probably coz he also didnt get paid). As soon as riggsy came on I knew something was wrong and tried my best to rectify this on his sound desk but soon realized it was not his problem, his equipment was sending a true signal not distorted. On further thought later on it dawned on me his signal which is a digital line was probably plugged into a phone input giving an unbalanced signal hence the distortion. I was not familiar with the sound system nor did i want to mess with someone elses equipment. If the sound engineer was on site as asked this problem could of been solved or if we had sufficient time to sound check. Again this was bad planning and managment on sundissentials part. There seemed to be no stage managment at all with cables, wiring and random people all over the stage and back stage area where many thousands of pounds worth of equipment was. Half way thru riggsy set the monitors stopped working which left riggsy no choice but to finish his set early as unlike a dj he has no headphones and plays 100% live.

As for the hardcore room sound system. I can vouch this system is one of the best I have ever heard but alas as sundissential did not pay the venue or the venue sound engineer or security Im sure they have something to do with making it sound "not right". When I run my events there I always pay on the dot and the sound is awsome!!! (nexo alpha pa for all you sound engineers again) Also in any other rooms at my events I use my own sound systems and have sound engineers working all night tuning and tweeking the system to different dj styles of music and have never had any complaint.

1st time at a Sunnies event n prob the last.....turned up at 10.30 and was told there was no change in the till!!! so we had to pay 50 quid to get in for me and my girlfriend.. 25 quid each OUCH!!!

the sunnies room was good till about 2 ish then riggsy came on.....sound went to shit and couldnt hear anything he was trying to do...im sure he is good when it all goes to plan..

then the boys we came to see turned up the ORGAN DONORS!!

I have a chat with the boys there not playing cuz they havent been paid along with a few other DJ's.....

On that note we left.....

i hope the profits did go the charity but i very very doubt they did up....
