Xmas has a lot to answer for. Being force fed brussell sprouts, the constant head patting by Grandma, drunken office parties and ridiculous ‘Dad Dancing’ to ‘a soundtrack of ‘Abba’ and ‘Cliff Richard’.

Now, an annual event, Stupid Underground say ‘I refuse to dance like John Sergeant!’. 1300 party people brush off the festive cobwebs, and get down to some good honest clubbing in 5 rooms showcasing break beat, drum n bass, minimal techno & underground house and soulful house. It’s a mini festival!

The last 7 Stupid Underground events have seen the club rammed full with well over a thousand people each time, and this years ‘I refuse to dance like my dad’ themed event shall showcase 6 promoter brands who will have all worked extremely hard to make this party the biggest event of January. Expect sound and lighting production of a high standard in all 5 rooms.

Having played at the Manchester Warehouse project on New Years Eve, ‘The Japanese Popstars’ are being billed as the next Chemical Brothers or Underworld. Performing Live, expect big room, cool as f**k electronic music built for festivals and stadiums. Support is provided by Get Carter who will still be buzzing from playing alongside 2manyDJ’s, Simian Mobile Disco and the Plump DJ’s on New Years Eve.

Good music, all your friends back out after the chaos of Christmas and New Year, and best of all…….its FREE b4 11.30pm! Please arrive early as these parties are the busiest in the business and way more popular than a John Sergeant Xmas record release.

Poolside: Deuce Soundsystem vs Habit

As Deuce Soundsystem move into their tenth year they show absolutely no signs of stopping. Resident DJ Mogs has become one of the Midlands most respected DJs gaining a huge fan base with his unique style of underground house and techno. The Habit boys have firmly established themselves as one of the most fun filled parties in Birmingham with their monthly themed nights at The Bulls Head in Moseley. The last time Deuce & Habit linked up it all got a little bit messy! Expect more of the same.

The Gallery: Class A Recordingz

Class A Recordingz is the brainchild of DJ/Producer CKB. Scouting the Drum & Bass scene he has brought together a blend of the finest national & international producers to fly the Class A banner. As well as hosting their own events at The Custard Factory they recently hosted the Factory Club space for the huge Raveology.

The Kitchen: Slick Management

Slick Management specialize in deep, afro, soulful, global house music. They aim to embrace diversity, style, fashion, arts, culture & dance music in pursuit of fun & entertainment. These guys formed an integral part of the recent Factory Club 13th Birthday event.

The Balcony: Brumski

We’re pleased to welcome the University of Birmingham ski and snow board club to pop their Stupid Underground cherry. They will be fresh off the back of their annual Christmas ski trip and ready to party hard.
