Stupid Underground fill the Custard Factory to complete capacity….and then some!

What a party!

Free b4 11.30pm party at Custard Factory, Birmingham

On Saturday 17th January 2009 we (Stupid Underground) held a free b4 11.30pm party with 5 rooms of House, Breakbeat, Drum n Bass & Techno music at the superb Custard Factory nightclub.

1700 people turned up and made it our 8th sell out show on the trot!

Stupid Underground is all about many people working hard together, quite often without payment, with one goal…to create the biggest party ever!

We would like to thank the following people for helping promote Saturday’s event and we are really appreciative of the support and energy provided in the last two months.

Thanks go to

- Deuce Soundsystem for the sound systems and lighting in the Kitchen and on the poolside

- Deuce Soundsystem and Habit Djs on the poolside and also for their promo support

- Class A Recordings and all Djs / Mcs for the Drum n Bass room in the Gallery and promo support

- Slick Management for the Deep Soulful House in Kitchen and promo support

- Brumski (Birmingham Ski Society) for the pre-sold tickets and promo support

- All the Djs that played for free!

- 1210 Dj Society for providing Djs for the balcony

- The Japanese Popstars for playing live (and brilliantly) in the main room and also for being so low maintenance

- All 1700 of you who came in and partied very hard. Such a friendly up for it crowd. Thanks for braving the storms as well. Nice to see a bit of rain and wind wont scare you off!

- The door staff getting everyone in as quickly as possible when it started pissing it down with rain and for joining in the dancing at times!

- George Kafetzis and Ricky Chauhan for their intense poster, flyering, shop dropping and facebook promotion

-Joe the soundman for getting the equipment ready in time for opening

Stupid Underground

I was out at Stupid underground on sat with a group of friends,celebrating my birthday. What a night it was! After waiting for an hour outside in the cold, the banter had dwindled somewhat and by the time we got in it was 12.30 and we had to pay £10 entry. it was well worth it tho. The music at the poolside was absolutely spot on, I especially loves Mogs' set, got us all dancing none stop, didn't even wanna leave to get a drink or go to the toilet! Every dj that played at the poolside deserves a mention tho. The area was completely rammed all night despite the cold.

I did venture into the other arenas and altho they werent as much to my taste, the crowd was brilliant, so friendly and up for it. All in all it was an absolutely wkd night. Will def be coming to the next one. Gonna make sure I have advance tickets tho next time.

Good advice about the advance tickets too. Where else can you go to such a great party and avoid queues for just five pounds? X x

what an amazing night, i have not seen the custard factory that busy for a long long time!! the atmosphere was electric and the music was top draw. asif it was totally free aswell! Stupid Underground have good thing going there.... cant wait for the next!!!
