Look through the archive of top pics, even i can tell that there is something that grabs you about each of them, that might be the subject, it might be the way the picture was taken, it might just be that it is funny (damn girl thread).

It hasn't been choosen for a front page picture yet, not because it is you, but because there wasn't anything about the picture that had the "wow" factor or a funny factor in the opinion of the people who choose them.

That does not mean it isnt a good picture, it just means it didnt have an edge.
