This New Years Eve, the Factory welcomes the GROOVE ARMADA SOUNDSYSTEM, MYLO and the PLUMP DJs as headliners for our strongest ever NYE line-up in 10 years. For this unique event, the whole of the Custard Factory complex is to be utilised, with Gibb Street being cordoned off, making way for an array of music areas and other activities. This will create a mini New Years Eve festival and will allow over 2,500 party revellers to join in the madness.
The lake (the pool of water situated directly in the middle of the site), will be drained with a heated marquee and Funktion 1 Soundsystem put in its place to act as the main arena. This area will play host to the GROOVE ARMADA SOUNDSYSTEM and MYLO; two of the most cutting edge British dance acts. Both of which, have managed to break the charts with massive success and still stay tuned into the underground. Selling out festivals and raising the roof wherever they play, the Groove Armada Soundsystem comprises of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay DJing alongside live percussion and vocalist MC MAD. Punters can expect live versions of their groundbreaking tracks such as “Superstylin” amongst others.
Since releasing his critically acclaimed debut album “Destroy Rock & Roll”, which many regarded as the dance release of 2004, Mylo has had a hectic global schedule and his crowd pleasing electronica has become a key feature at festivals and credible club shows across the world.
The Factory nightclub space is to be headlined by the biggest act in breaks, the PLUMP DJs from the “Finger Lickin Records” stable with support from BLIM for a super heavy breaks & beats soundclash.
There’ll also be live music and DJs in Rooty Fruity, a host of local talent in the Leftfoot room and plenty of chill out space (comprising of the Theatre and Gallery) with ample seating to rest your weary feet.
Coming soon in 2006…………….
