On Saturday June 18th, the entire grounds of the Custard Factory will be transformed into a mini festival to celebrate the advent of summer. The lake in the courtyard will be drained and the water replaced by a huge Funktion One sound system, lighting effects and a dancefloor. Masters at Work will be headlining with an exclusive 6hour marathon set, one of only a handful of UK dates this year.

Doors open early at 7pm, and we invite you to join us make the most of the warm summer night with a barbeque and cocktails courtesy of fully trained Bacardi cocktail staff.

The Medicine Bar and Kitchen will be hosted by familiar faces each showcasing one of their local heroes.

MAW DJ Profiles:

Kenny Dope
Kenny Dopes breakthrough as a solo artist came through with the recording of the breathtaking Bucketheads album in 1995. A track called the “Bomb!” (These sounds fall into my mind) was the standout track.

For the last decade three times Grammy nominated Kenny Dope has released and remixed thousands of tracks. In his production work, Kenny consistently shows his distinctive ability for programming superior beats whilst blending a myriad of music styles to deliver the ultimate mix. With his long-established reputation as a DJ extraordinaire, Kenny showcases a melting pot of house, jazz, funk, soul and hip hop; keeping the show colourful energetic and soulful.

Louie Vega
During his nearly two-decade long career, Vega has revolutionized the musical landscape and crafted some of the most ground-breaking singles in dance music history (“The Nervous Track”, “It’s Alright, I Feel It” and “Beautiful People,”) kick started genres like soulful house.

He plays with an unrivalled energy and exuberance, and his innate desire to make people dance dominates every one of his sets, inspiring him to thrill and excite every crowd that comes to hear him!

Masters At Work
Their name says it all. "Little Louie" Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez are Masters at Work. Over two decades they have made a monumental contribution to dance music, successfully adding a lifetime of style and quality which raised the standard of production on dance music. Artists such as Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Madonna, Soul II Soul, Janet Jackson, Daft Punk, Barbara Tucker Luther Vandross and many many more have consistently requested their remix treatment.

Hailing for NY city the duo have repeatedly drawn on a rich musical tapestry combining cross-cultural rhythms of Afro-beat, classic disco, hip-hop, house, jazz, Latin and R&B that grouped together to form the NY underground. Their extremely rare collective live performances comprise of Kenny Dope making the beats and Louie adding the rhythms as they perform what can only be described as a breath taking display of music.
