Well i guess we all win some, loose some. i got the flyer for this a good few weeks ago, and as i was still pumped after autumn on fri (absolutely fucking awesome, by the way) , thought this would be a nice follow up, bit of hip hop and D&B, cant go wrong. i was wrong. The whole place was packed out with prissy little student girls trying to look sexy, and guys that looked like they had just come from a dungeons and dragons game. The main room started with some lame ass mcs prancing around, who apparently "know what hip hop is about", with terrible sound quality to top it all off. So upstairs i went, to check the D&B. Ok this was slightly better, although i did feel as if it was a good tune bad tune syndrome, and consistancy is the key, when i wannna get rowdy! The night went on, with me praying a crew of real bass heads would walk in at any point... didnt happen, just more fuckin students!!! eventually they did bring the D&B down to the main room, which was a bit better, but kept having to close my eyes when i was dancing. every time i caught a glimpse of any of the people around me, i would just burst out laughing (some of these student chicks are pure comedy, "YOU CANNOT DANCE SEXY TO DRUM AND BASS!"). So yea ive had my rant, and it felt good. Warehouse Party Digbeth sould make up for it.
ps. sorry guys no pics, but trust me, not worth it.

sounds like u were expecting too much from this night, baring in mind it was oraganised by students on a budget to raise money for charity. to be honest i had a wicked night but i wasn't determined to have a bad time. when i played the last set downstairs there were maybe 300 people in the med bar all dancing having a good time
"YOU CANNOT DANCE SEXY TO DRUM AND BASS!"
i don't understand what this comment means because "sexy dancing" is a matter of perception, from what i saw people were just dancing. glad u enjoyed it though, next time try and be more open minded.

Sorry, we'll all put on our screwfaces next time. Ban those ladies. Next time I go to a PROPER rave I'll get a T-Shirt so you can clearly identify me as a legitimate raver....and it better be a sausagefest. Fuck it, I'll drop out of uni. Can I be a REAL head now?

I got excessively drunk, made a twat out of myself infront of Ras Kwame, raved until my ribs hurt and swanned about wearing shades on my head to keep my hair out of my face. Oh yeah, and I had 'war-paint' on my face that, by 2AM, just made me look dirty.

Not a bad night.

And Aries (it was Aries, right?) dropped 'Chase The Devil', (the ORIGINAL) and a junglistic remix of 'My Forbidden Lover' at the end. Completed my night, did the latter.

I'm not a student (until September) and I have no inhibitions when raving. Am I a head?

PS: Sorry to the guy who was in the toilet when I couldn't find my way out at the start of the night. Such is the effect of white wine...

a tad harsh dontch think sounds like they did a wicked job of gettin a Tuesday night playing alternative music busy ( a hard job by any stretch!)

and may well help convert a few people to decent music ( or maybe you dont want any girls at dnb nights ? ;) )

nights like this help the scene grow
