The purpose of November's Drop Beats Not Bombs is to highlight the use of Depleted Uranium (DU) weapons.

DU causes horrific and long term effects. It has been used by British and American forces in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq. The images depicted on the Drop Beats Not Bombs flyers are horrifying but please remember that it is our government that sanctions the use of these weapons that results in the terrible catastrophic birth defects shown on the flyers. It is our tax pounds that are being spent on the weapons that cause these effects.

Do you recall the atom bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Devastating destruction, wouldn't you agree? Think about that and, in particular think about the Nagasaki bomb. The amount of DU that has been spread all over Iraq from just the 2003 invasion is equivalent to having detonated 250,000 Nagasaki warheads.

November's event brings together the most amazing line-up of like-minded individuals. Every single person involved with Drop Beats Not Bombs does so because they want to stand up and show that they do not agree with what is happening. Drop Beats Not Bombs IS every one of those people. Drop Beats Not Bombs IS every single one of you.

Spread the word.
