What a joke... your views please!!
right to be honest i had a good night... but what a fucking shambles .. out of the headliner djs n mcs i know of these attending Vibes n Livelee, Brisk, Dougal,Gammer,Supreme,Squad-e,Storm and wotsee... the stated times of event on flyer were 5pm-7am... i have been informed no one got in till just gone 7 as apparently they did not have license to be open at 5... now come on this event has been flyered for months so they had plenty of time to sort this... the event then finished at 6am insted of 7 with no explanation why we lost a hour... no the whole set up of the night was a joke... for the last set of night they cranked the system right up which sounded shockin and did not carry to back of arena anyway and the lazers on carried to half way line of arena... i no this is a new night... but ffs all these details should have been sorted and near perfect for the night... smoke machine was shocking to much to quick and it didnt travel around the arena which left u not being able to see fuck all...Word of mouth is best advertising you can get and doubt they will be gettin alot of that Storms mic for the last set was fucked ... i for one will not be goin back as i paid to see a awesome line up and never... i payed for 14hours which we never got... Wouldnt suprize me if they booked all these djs and cancelled them last minute so they could make more profit once they had filled the arenas which they did.. Strongly recommend you do not attend one of these nights as what is advertised if far from what you get..

There was nothing wrong with the security in my opinion. I didn't know the above but they treated me very nicely.

Seemingly the whole thing was a let down. It's a shame because it could have been fantastic with the right planning and organisation.

Main problems that i experienced last night were:

*The dodgey sound system in both the main arena and the universal hardcore arena with the mic levels all over the shop and nothing like as clear as most people come to expect at a rave, muffled to put it mildly.

*The smoke machine (one of my pet hates anyway) was over used and lingered for what seemed like years, think it might have been near the start of brisks set with wotsee mc'in it was bellowing out its white smog for just short of 10 mins solid. You really could see jack-shit of the stage.

*The sand.... Now that was a dull idea! Didn't really venture into the sundissential room other than perching on the podium near the entrance to have a fag out the rain. I remember wondering why all of a sudden my ass was covered in the stuff. As it continued to rain it did become increasingly shitty out there, lots of girls with 2-tone buffers.

*A few dj's that would have brought some welcome variety in the music over the course of the night didn't show. Styles, sorry to hear bout ur loss, but as for the other dj's billed i'm assuming its the fault of the promoters from readin this thread they didn't show? Plus putting kev energy on 8-9...! was looking forward to that set with sharkey on the mic, alas, we didn't get in on time!

*The 'pills pills pills' blokes.. Don't get me wrong, u sort of expect it in a rave environment every now and again but last night i must have been asked at least 10-15 times, one bloke had a baggy containin at least 300-400 waving them about as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

*'apparently' the bar had run out of bottled water 3am(ish) so i was told..

*I'm sick to death of routine raverbaby/ep/whatever tunes that are ALWAYS played at decent sized raves. I.e- See the light/Flashlight/I will come running etc, they all REALLY bore the crap out of me and to hear them more than 2/3 times in a night almost make me suicidal! Myself and some close mates resort to entertaining ourselves with a stupid 'rip the piss' type of dancing that get alot of laughs with an equal measure of baffled looks from surrounding ravers.
Theres plenty of older tunes that could easily fit into sets nowadays that would make you remember a certain dj's set (not too old mind.. if we go into 'old skool' territory i will be forced to slit my wrists-no offence just aint for me) Anythin 2001/2 onwards..

On the plus side:
*Brisk for the 2nd time in 2 weeks impressed me, im a bit partial to my gabba and when he started dropping the harder tunes it was like a breath of fresh air for me. After which i staggered into the universal room to dj smackdown playing more of my luvverly techno and was 'forced' to stomp for another 40 mins before crawling to the sandpit for some fresh air.

*I had a laugh and met a few new people who's names i can't remember for the life of me. cheers to the group of 4 people we met in the q that managed to get me and a mate in for £10 as a couple of their group dropped out.

*Thank christ for Wotsee Storm Gaz and (Dare i say) Livelee for bein on the mic as i had a good laugh when either of them were on. Especially impressed with Storm socialisin with ravers alot more over recent times, fair play mate its real good to see.

Tbh if my 'bro' mc obscene wasn't drafted in to do an early set in the universal room then we probably wouldn't have bothered with this one. Yea the organisation was crap in pretty much every aspect but i don't regret goin.. I saw loads of my mates, stomped to some gabba and had a good laugh n thats all i need.

Brisk and Kevin Energy rocked it, the others might have well put clubland extreme hardcore 4 on repeat and saved themselves a job. It wasn't far off as it was.

God did you not just want to get their 'pills pills pills' and shove them up their arses?!!!!
