B2T present…

THE BOLLOX

TO POLYTICS

FREE PARTY!!!

Bank Holiday Sunday 12th April

@ The Sanctuary, Birmingham

10pm – 6am

Due to the unforeseen cancelation of Polysexual Vs B2T @ Air this Sunday (12th April), we at B2T have decided you the clubbers deserve a party without all the bullshit effecting your night out!

We felt it was time you the clubbers knew the real story behind the so called “BIRMINGHAM POLITICS” & how it effect’s the Birmingham clubbing scene.

For many years, we believe we have had to put up with Polysexual blocking all the so called headline DJ’s, and making it harder for us to give you the clubbers the line-ups you want to see.

Every time a DJ starts doing well for us we believe Polysexual are quick to get on the phone and offer them x amount of gigs at Air & bookings at their many festivals, on the condition they don’t play for B2T, or anyone else in Birmingham.

Here is the current list of DJ’s we can’t book:

Karim
Andy Whitby
Lisa Pin-Up
Rob Tissera
Lisa Lashes
The Tidy Boys (up till Jan 1st 09)
Cally Gage
Amber D (from Feb 09)
Proteus
BK
Anne Savage
Technikal
Rodi Style
Kutski
Alex Kidd

Now it would seem “Club Of The Year” Storm, think they can start to pull the same sort of tricks as Polysexual, by blocking DJ’s that are playing for them in Leicester the week before we wanted to book them.

i.e. We booked Andy Farley for May 3rd @ Gatecrasher Birmingham only to be told 5 minutes later he can’t play now because he’s playing for Storm the week before. If you look at the storm line-up you will see it’s ok for Paul Glazby to play @ Xstatic and play for at Storm the week before. It’s also ok for Storm to book Defective Audio who we have playing the week after storm on May 3rd.

It would seem there’s one rule for one & another for us! ~:0/

We don’t have a problem with DJ’s playing where ever they’re booked, and especially don’t see why they can’t play for us the week after Storm’s event that’s in a totally different county!

I have spoken to many of the above DJ’s many times about playing for us, but I always get the same reply “I’d love to play but Polysexual won’t let me, you understand don’t you?”

If they just said BOLLOX we’ll play where ever we want, they would still get booked because who else are Polysexual going to book to fill their festival arenas?

I don’t see anything changing from having this rant, apart from the fact we get to say: BOLLOX TO YOU BIG BOY MONEY MEN & BOLLOX TO YOU SELL OUT DJ’S!

It’s about music!!!

B2T has got where it is today without your help, and will long continue without you if need be!

B2T is all about the ravers and not the money, it would be nice to make some for once, but that isn’t our priority.

This event is for the people that count, you the ravers! So we’ll see you all having it large this Sunday 12th April @ The Sanctuary 10pm – 6am

Love & Respect

Guys, I wish you all the best on Sunday. Was planning on coming up for the Polys v B2T event but on hearing it was cancelled, made alternative arrangements.

I hope the place is rammed for ya and that you have an absolutely wicked night. A fantastic event like B2T, that I've come up from Brighton for on numerous occasions, doesn't deserve to be treated like this.

I remember a night last year when Polys put on an event the same time as your old regular slot on the 3rd Saturday of each month @ Subway City - think it was the 20th September. I was at B2T and people were coming in from Polys saying the place was "dead". It brought a smile to my face then :o)

I would rate B2T in my top 3 events for atmosphere and "up for it" ravers, and bearing in mind I've been out virtually every weekend for the past 5 years, I can compare it against many events. You have a loyal following and I hope they turn up in their 100's for you on Sunday.

Wish I could be there too .....
