Quiet, but who really cared?
I guess we are all resigned to the fact it was not as popular as the Prestatyn weekenders and this, sadly, might be the last new year weekender...

Shame though... I thought even with the shocking wind, cold and rain, getting to the arenas eventually was soooo worth it!

Friday: Pin-Up and Kidd knocked my socks off!

Saturday: Tidy Boys four hour set over the new year!!! I have this vision that they can potentially play 20 great songs to play an ultimate set beyond being beat! They played 17 in this set! The visuals were stunning as were for all... but the cheesy countdown just was so apt and cool... awesome way to see the new year in! Personally had to give in and not catch the Glazby set, which was a shame! Doidn't envisage a Kick It finish, so hope for Hostile, but did miss it anyway :(

Sunday: Energy form Haslam as standard, a cracking set... then I decided to give Illogik a try! FUCK ME, he rocks... why have I not heard him play before? Whitby followed with similar awesomeness and then a return to the main arena for a Tidy Boys close...

Songs 18 and 19 came... there was only one more song to hear (as magna mix of Till Tears Do Us Part would not be played again I thought)... approaching the end of the set... then FUCK ME... the Tidy Boys played a full version of Hostile themselves... what a way to finish... ...

... NO! They played song 20... Flashheadz - Promised Land... I couldn't believe it... nowhere else on earth I wanted to be...

There was a bit of an exodus then... you can tell the Tidy unfaithful then, cos those who know their Tidy knew the next song miles off... a slow piano bit...?!? YES... HEAVENS CRY - TILL TEARS DO US PART!!! MAGNA MIX!!!

Just unbelievable! Three thoroughly awesome nights had... a bit quieter than a usual weekender, but that only meant that the slimmer amount of DSIers that went you actually had a chance to banter with better... I honestly felt this was a huge success critically if not financially for Tidy!

Perhaps a Summer Camp would prove that Tidy can, by numbers, do a weekender away frm the Camp Site in North Wales...

So... it was a cracking weekender... a bit quiet, bit of shocking weather, but Jez and Charlie had it right:

IT'S ABOUT MUSIC

I had a fantastic weekend :-
+Didnt mind about the wind, rain, or cold as i was too wasted to notice
+Didnt mind about the lack of people there as it left me more room to stomp!
+Didnt mind it not being in prestatyn as i live in prestatyn anyway! Good to get away!!
+The DJ's were awsome!
Fave sets are as follows:-
+ Tidy boys
+ Velos and Kym Ayres (Friday night!) Good start!
+Dark By Design
+Edison Factor
+Guyver.... hell they were all ace!

BRING ON TW11!!!!! keep it tidy!

Oh actually one thing that miffed me offa bit was that the time table was all messed up, Djs not turning up, playig different times etc!

Absolutely class weekend!! Admitedlly it was a lot less busy than prestatyn is but like people have said before me it is what you make it and i personally had a ball

The only downside was the first night when i overdone things slightly and was back in the chalet asleep by 1:30, gutted i missed Dark By Design, Alex Kidd and Rob Tissera....but maybe now i'll learn my lesson.......hmmmmmmm

Roll on TW11!!

I thought it was wicked, what harm does a little dancing space do? Met some amazingly special people and almost danced my head off! Alex Kidd and Whitby were my fave sets though!

I enjoyed the weekender soooo much. I found it to be much more intimate than the prestatyn one. I got the opportunity to meet so many more cool people! xx

Had an awesome stompingly fantastic time and was not in the least bit bothered about having lots of room to bounce about in! Danced till the end every night with a big smile on my face!!

Best sets by far:
MARK EG!!! - He rocks my world (and i managed to get my photo taken with him, Yippee!!)
ORGAN DONERS!!! Wow - they totally blew me away!

I went last year and this year!

Apart from the rain, cold and wind conjuring up sandstorms (man do they sting) i had a super time again!

The fact that it wasn't that busy was only really noticed after 5am or so when people left the areans, and i actually think that it did me good to have a chilled weekender for once and not have to worry about missioning around chalets worrying about missing out on stuff!!

Almost all the people i wanted to see were there and i had a jolly good time!! AGAIN!

I'm always wwwwaaaayyyy too fucked to participate in the daytime activities. I set out with good intentions of doing them all and the ketty mess that I am just ends up dancing around random chalets....
