He won't, He's shit, He's washed up. Did you not hear his last Essenital Mix. It was shit. Train wrecked every other mix. He's just a big name. He's happier living in America making crappy tunes with his A-list mates.

i know his essential mix was shit thankyou very much! and i completely dissagree with people who think pros are allowed to have bad days.. but it aint like you've never had a bad day is it? or are you a massive name with your own sucessful label etc etc etc? don't think so!

I'm not knocking the bloke for what he has achieved. Hats off too him. He's done a lot for dance music, Infact you could put him up there with Pete Tong and Danny Rampling as the people that brought house to the UK ( Opinions will differ on that statement) I'm just saying as a DJ he's washed up. He rely's too much on his name now. There are 1001 DJ's I'd go and see a head of him that are more hungry and have more desire.

can't believe people are that shallow to let one shit mix ruin the reputation that he worked years and years to build up.

if it wasn't for oakie trance might not be what it is today.

Trance is dead now anyway. Oakie playes more progressive ambient trance stuff, so hes a lot better. At least he doenst play awful Euphoric trance with big dodgy breakdowns!

What you on about you loser. Go and enjoy your trance nights in the North west (if there still is any) Feel was the only decent night in Preston and that was more prog then trance. Stop being such a twat Kellywell. Look at your profile pic. Says a lot about you. slagging people like me and chris off. You obviously got a chip on your shoulder. Until you have a decent knowledge in what your talking about then just give up..

I'm not shallow enough to let one mix taint my judgement. Oakenfold has lost the desire to be a decent DJ. He'd rather rub shoulders with A-list celebs in his mansion in America. He plays on his name. I'm not knocking the bloke, he gets paid a lot of money for it, so why not? But there are loads of better DJ's out there than him. Just my opinion. There is no need for dick heads like Kellywell to come on here and slag people off for having opionions that don't match his own. Grow up.

i think you'll both find that johnlambo and kellywell are the future.. not the next popular genre!

yeh the future of chav bedroom garage, does this thread mean your going to the syndicate or just hankering after the glory days of feel , cha....what makes me laugh is you and your mate cant even spell cha..(chai.) or char.....is it the latest buzzword in innerbread lancs, pair of bookends..
Who laughed: kellywell-FEEL

haha, just been having a look around the other towns in blackpool to see if it is well used elsewhere...and mr kellywell/FEEL.. comments..

i'd be able to rock either club! it doesn't matter what style you play.. as long as the dj has the crowd eating out of the palm of his had it's all happy days. a good dj will be able to read what the crowd is looking for after 3 tunes.. that's what separates a good dj (who can adapt) and your average run of the mill bloke that can only play his normal cd collection. even though i'm far from a a funky dj.. i know i could still fire up the funkiest of clubs. it's the dj that makes the night what it is.. not so much the tunes. although if you're talking gnarles barkley and timberlake.. that's a different story

then ,( surely its easier to get an atmosphere going in a smaller club, ..!)

yeh like yours and johns bedroom.........lolouder...

hows your HECTIC dj schedule going...!

jesus im going to change my name on here from speedster to bored at work.!

sorry chris wasn't having a dig at you, i ment the whole dance scene in general is rubbishing oakie after that one set, and yeh he might not be the greatest dj in the world anymore but to me he is still a legend and the booking that the syndicate has made hopefully will pave the way for all the big dj's from all the genres to follow suit and get booked to play there.

and as for kellywell what a toolkit!

I agree, the bloke is a legend, I don't like trance but I acknowledge that the bloke is a legend and has put so much into dance music. I just think there comes a time when the hunger has gone, Danny Rampling retired as a DJ. I'm not sure of the reasons but maybe he had enough. I'm not saying Oakie should do that but maybe he is DJ'ing for all the wrong reasons, eg money? Maybe he doesn't have the passion he once had. This reflects on his sets. Anyway mate, have a great night when you go to see him!

I saw Rampling played a top set in Isle of Man a year before he retired. I think he retired mainly cos he was known as a house and funky house dj, and as we all know funky house has has its day. He also was opening up his own runny dumpling restaurant. Only last month though i saw Rampling flyers all over London, so he must have had enough of that retirement lark and just comes out of it when he has a booking.
As for Oakie, like i say i havent seen him in ages so wouldnt know what hes like these days, but i know the trance he used to play was progressive ambient style which was the only style i kinda liked as it was trippy. Dont know what he plays now, but still an achievement getting him somewhere like Blackpool.

Although I think the guy is def a legend, saw him in Ibiza this year, his mixing ruined nearly every track & it was the first time I have seen people in the main room in Amnesia, sitting down due 2 severe bordedom! At the radio 1 party lots of people paid £££ to see him & apparently he was wasted & let loads of people down!
