Well I don't hate Jules there are far worse DJs out there than Jules but he's still nothing compared to Mr Sheridan is he now :-) At the end of day though all boils down to matter of opinion so nothing any of us say really matters!

More importantly did everybody notice that he played Sandstorm...... :-| I dunno how I managed to dance all the way through that tune without feeling sick... A couple of my mates went Ibiza last year and said 'Dave Pearce was quite good actually he played some good tunes' so I was kinda optimistic about his set... but disappointed....

Adam made up for it though didn't he :-)

Yeah i agree with your comments totally but the reason they do this is because they appeal to the clientel!!! most of the people who go syndicate on a saturday night are tourists not clubbers like ourselves!!! u can see this by the number of people who were at the night who are reigstered to dsi!!! hardly any for how many the event can cater for!!! syndicate is a brillaint club just in the wrong city!!! it attracts hen and stag partys rather than the mad head clubbers we are!!!

Oh agreed again mate,

Syndicate have one eye on the Commercial side of things and they do lean towards the cheesier side of Clubbing,

Blackpool will always be tagged as a stag & hen town, But... Because people have been starved of underground tunes for so long its starting to come through the shadows a bit now,

Beat is becoming the place for the non-commercial peeps to go & its doing very well,
Access are doing some quality Minimal,House & Techno & i've got my own night (Come Up) that i've shifted from Birmingham for 3 months for the silly season
June 8th, July 10th & August 13th

A Change from what Blackpool has ever seen before, We have a very very good line-up for the launch night on the 8th June,
Quality mixing,Quality Tunes,Quality Dj's but without the big price tags,
Electro to Techno 10pm til 3am...

NEW The Majority of Dj's @ Syndicate seems to be pretty poor in my opinion,

They go for the Big headliners, not Big talents, Their is so so many Dj's out there that are better than the Dj's syndicate get in,,

Because they don't promote their events like many others, they are relying on Headliners to try to fill the place, When if they had constant quality Dj's and you knew that you was getting quality music every weekend they wouldn't need to bring in the Big names,

I personally don...

lets see how long your night last then eh!but like you say same music week in week out its never going to work thats why the club prob gets different djs in and its worked for them for the last god knows how many years. Different stroke different folk i say good on the club for bringing in all the djs they do. iv have some cracking nights in that club and im sure alot more people have to.only they are not just as sad as i am, posting and boasting about it on dsi lolol

Yeah agree its dead commercial you could tell that by 2 o clock i love it when it gets that late n all the tourists n the local drunks pile out n ur left with the proper passionate ones

I don't mean the music is commercial I just mean the club attracts people who expect the music to be commercial....

If I was a DJ I'd rather play to a small handful of passionate clubbers, than a big group of lads who are dancin but prefer scouse house, and a big group of girls dancing up and down each other trying to get male attention...

Try and promote the UKs biggest club in a town like Blackpool with putting on Underground djs every week and see how dead it will be and how the place would end up closing.
We always have to keep a healthy balance of credible vs commercial, thats how clubs like our make money cos it is a business.

we dont just want to hire out a 100 capcity room and throw a party losing money cos it makes us feel better !!

DJs like Jules, Pearce etc and events like Hed Kandi have to be put on for good business sense otherwise anything else would look lost.

Weve had some of the worlds greatest djs at the club Morrillo, Housecat, Mr C, Morales, knuckles, Chris Lake (who loved it btw), MYNC, Smokin Jo, Pete Tong and the list goes on and on. Who else has done that in Blackpool ?? No-one. Its simple, if its not your cup of tea, dont bother coming.... the 3000+ other clubbers that are in there having it right off wont mind the extra bit of room.

Dont come on here bitching about the management being wrong when you couldnt fill a barn in a hurricane my son.

Jules is shit! Just his big name that is keeping him djing now!
This

where are you basing this information on young man ?? does anyone remember how awesome Judgement Sunday was last time he played ??

dont just say he's shit for the sake of it, gather some evidence thats to the contrary.

This thread was started cos a clubber WHO IS ON DSI (woo woo) came on here to comment on how he thought Saturday with Sheridan & pearce was really good, i doubt if he gives a fuck on your opinion of the place as you guys werent even there !! im going to come to one of your nights and i bet i can find plenty to slag off about.

really.

I dont have a clue how you've came to these conclusions, how are the 'big headliners' the Armin van Buurens the Ferry Corstens the Above & Beyonds of the world not particularly talented?? I'm all for seeing 'lesser known' DJs play out as theres not that many bad ones about any more and you'll often find that you really dig a guy's style but your business plan's incredibly naive.

If running a club was as easy as simply playing good music then everybody'd be doing it, you might even get more than 25 people down to Beat! I'm not going to go on because I'm not feeling great and I dont have much respect for your postings but I just cant believe how you think getting lesser names would be better for business. Do you think that if they took the big names off the lineups that somehow Blackpool would get better cred from geeks on here or that another thousand or so 'proper' clubbers (with the DSI badge n everythin) would just walk in off the beach to replace the people that have never heard of Will B??? I dont think so.

Fubar i was not having a go at the way you promote it! You promote it exactly as i would! You take Blackpool and take the people who visit there and put on the dj that suits the clientel. That will never change in blackpool and thats what i was pointing out. But all i was trying to say (probably not worded it right) was if you put the syndicate into a different location....say liverpool or manchester for instance it would be a totally different group of people! To sum it up! I was probably upset that everyone left at two and wasn't prepared to stay to see the UK's Hottest Rising talent. Theres no insulting the club or the promoters here!

As for my comments about jules i have recently thought twice about these! Everyone i have talked to says that jules is hit and miss! Sometimes he could do an awful set and sometimes he blows the roof away so as a result of this i have deleted my comment and wait till i see him more than the 3 times already before till i make a further assumption. Lets hope i have just seen him on the miss sides! As i was not at judgement sundays i cannot comment! I shall be at the next one! See u there!
