Well, this was our debut event, so I never expected a massive turn-out, but massive respect to those who did make it. It was great to have a night playin stompin tunes to our nearest and dearest, so i hope you all enjoyed listening as much as we did playing. First up in the main room was me and Jonny G doin a back-to-back set to get everybody in the mood....some top tunes were spun on the wheels of steel, and it was good to see the ladies raving in cyber! Next up was mikey H, playin his first set to a crowd. I only met him for the first time a fdew hours before the event, and he's a legend, ripping up the floor with a combo of cd and vinyl that got eveyone jumping. Jumping on after him was Contact's Matt Handy, playin some quality tracks, with a few happy hardcore numbers that the older ones amongst us would have recognised as classics. Mashing it up at midnight was DJ MDMJ smashin up the floor with tunes that were so hard, the paramedics were nearly called! And finally, stepping up to the platters for the last set of the night was DJ Jonny G, with some of the latest releases available, bringing some top tunes to those who still had it in them to rave it up. Big respect to the Substance Hardcore boys for their top display of mixing genius in the 2nd arena, I did manage to catch some of the sets and what I heard was awesome! Shout out to the Pompey ravers - Gemma, Bexi & Lindz were there supporting us all, sporting some rather revealing cyber gear! Hope all involved had a good night, and we hope that we can get a bigger, better, HARDER night going......watch this space! ! ! ! !
