Uni Ball 2006 - How good was it!

So how good was it this year - bloody amazing i think! Awesome setup, layout of the field was much much better from last year. All the tents looked amazing, quality sound and lighting rigs (which put hi-fi festival to shame)

But the absolute highlight was Erol Alkan, i danced myself stupid for the whole of his set and brought my self close to an ashmaa attack! but still he just wacked out so many electro/dirty house/metal/rock tunes that i couldn't quite belive it

And of course great effort on the costumes this year.. particular mention to the Tic-Tac guys, Deal or No Deal people and the Ipod Man! Also some convincing police officers? or were they real i hope they won't or im in BIG trouble!

Thanks to firestation/SU crew again for this, far exceeded my expectations and i think we are SO lucky to have this kind of summer ball put on for us which is basically a mini-festival

yes, I totally agree, you guys at bournemouth have an amazing ball every year! better than southamptons!
I had tickets this year, but didnt go, i am totally gutted, although i wasnt in any fit state after the footy match!

absolutely loved it, even tho i dont goto bmouth uni, met loadsa ppl i knew, altho it was so difficult to meet up with ppl or recognise them cos ther was soo many ppl there!! what with the amazing costumes as well!!

i was totally wrecked tho pretty soon in the night, so apart from the feeling, i dont know who i actually saw in what tents lol, but i remember loving it all!!

adam, loved ur costume, even tho i didnt get to actually talk to you in the end!!

i agree the whole set up and arrangements and all the staff were totally ace. one thing let it down tho, they run out of water at the end so i had to drink orange which made me feel so ill i had to leave the beach at 4.45 :'( i wanted to stay til the end!!

An excellent night as usual -and my last as a student :(- but what was with confiscating all the props at the door?! Very rubbish.

did they really conviscate all props at the door, i think some were smuggled in, cos i saw ppl with props and my mate got in with his sword, even tho it was only plastic

When we were on the way in, there was a massive pile of them and my friend has her walking stick confiscated - apparently it was a dangerous weapon!

i doubt any of you would agree seen as you loved it so much but i thought the summer ball left a lot to be desired. i've been to the last 4 including this one and i thought the layout was by far the worst yet. last year i think was the best, with all the tents and rides forming a ring rather than just having views into open fields. also the chill out bit in the 'woods' was shit. last year it was prob the best bit, quality young dj's all night and great atmosphere. this year i stumbled over to it after the maison tent expecting something similar, and what do i find, sugababes followed by that crappy paris to berlin song. not cool.
having said that i did have a good night, maison tent was good at times just a bit hit and miss, but then it is maison. just thought it could've been better. don't think i'll be going again so adam you poppers fiend you gonna have to take your own!
