PVD set - Video shot from the stage
Right, I said I would do it, and I have: The last 15 minutes of PVD's set- enjoy :)

PVD Set video (200meg)

PVD Set Video (50meg)

They are both the same, just the second one is a smaller size and lower quality.

PS. sorry for the crap editing :)

Cheers to Willb for hosting the video - I'm told the server should hold up ok :)

I like the way Paul Van Dyke is DJ'ing using his MAC. Clearly the future!!!! Did he do this all the way through as the mac is sat on a turntable??

yeah, he's been using his MAC to DJ for quite a while now, did read something about his mixer software he has on there somewhere.

Here's a photo of him with it at Creamfields last year:

Yeah he did - on one of the other video's you can see him setting his kit up, he actually had 3 powerbooks with him and was using 2 all the way through (I guess the other is a spare). By the time this video was taken he had already started packing up to make way for svd.

no idea what software he uses though. oh just found this interview with him and a few questions down he talks about what he uses. hope that helps :)

NEW aaaaarrrgh! i dont have the right programme to view, only to hear it

strange - its in windows media video (wmv) format so windows should be able to play it fine...

try downloading the K-Lite Codec pack from here

It contains all the files for playback of almost any media. And try and play the file in Media Player Classic once you have installed it (it comes with the codec pack).

Hope that helps.

Final Scratch is for teaming your laptop up to the decks though so i doubt he uses that. I use Native Instruments Traktor 3 which is incedible, will take along time to master but you can get going if you download a demo, 4 decks FX and looping, a creatives dream! PCDJ is another one but i have no intrest in that. Did a mix last night but have no where to host it.....
