I haven't been to a hed kandi for a while - gathered up some mates and thought we'd make a night of it, seeing as it was a twisted disco... got there about 12 to a pretty decent floor, the night looked promising... failed to deliver, left by 3.

- I thought itd be good - utter shit. it was like a load of classics, put through some Tomy "My First Remix" machine! Not a hint of filth or anything decent. Destination Calabria? You're havin a laff aint ya danny?? I didnt hear anything new, I did hear some BAD key clashes that hurt my ears!

Glamourous/Beautiful Crowd
- no chance, a few bits of nice skirt but mostly its a has been on the social calendar - lurkin blokes in top shops finest, not even an orange glow to be seen. By 2 hardly a girl in site and I cant say I blame em.

Of course you are welcome it's just one persons opinion on one night, please come back next month and let me know then how you feel, it's very unusual to get bad reports so i am surprised !

i did used to go to had kandi though and have been to ones prior to it being in crank and they were shit its not that its shit cos its in crank its shit cos its so generic and boring

i used to go to the bar blu ones quite a lot

I was one of the DJs downstairs and do have to disagree with a few of the comments made, especially with regards to the basement.

Firstly, Danny and I both use a program called Mixed In Key to analyse our music and sort it by musical key. The music we mix is 100% in key all the time. If a song that I get hold of cannot be analysed, I don't use it because I hate key clashes just as the same as the next person. They sound crap and make you, as a DJ, look like a tit. I doubt you would have heard any to be honest.

I played stuff that has not even been released yet, Pjanoo for example, the new Pryda track. The majority of the stuff that I played was fairly new or not even released yet.

I heard half of Danny's set and there was just quality music down there. Some excellent remixes and new stuff also. To keep in line with the Twisted Disco vibe, we aren't going to bang out the most disgusting electro out there, nor are we going to play cheesy house. Occasionally, myself and Danny do play a more commerical/classic tune. At a trance night, would you object to a DJ dropping in a classic such as 'Carte Blanche' to keep things interesting? Same thing here, the majority of what we play is new, unreleased stuff but occasionally do play some classic tracks in there.

I though the overall night was good and I'm looking forward until the next one. As mentioned by others on here, you are welcome to your opinion. All I'm doing is offering answers to your statements.
