Firstly, we would like to thank everyone that has come to our parties, it’s been such a great year for Electric Playground – and that’s thanks to all of you that have been to the club to party with us! We’ve got some mind-blowing nights lined up for 2007, we just can’t wait to tell you about them…
We’ve come along way since we started doing EP parties in July 2005 and since finding our new home at Dusk Till Dawn in Bournemouth things just keep getting better. We have also moved to the first Saturday of every month now, and this takes effect from our next party on 2nd December, so make sure you keep those dates free in your diary!
So for our last party of 2006, we welcome one of house music’s most talked about producers and DJs Brett Johnson! Brett made his name with a string of excellent productions on labels such as Magnetic, Classic, 2020 Vision and Brique Rouge. Also he’s been remixing artists such as Mark Farina, Iz & Diz, Robbie Hardkiss and Soul Mechanik to name a few.
Heavily influence by the sounds of New York and Chicago, Brett has taken inspiration from DJ’s like Sneak, Derrick Carter, Kerri Chandler, MAW and Todd Terry. His own record label Aesoteric Records, has featured releases from the likes of Lance Desardi, JT Donaldson and recently Brett himself. Keep your eyes open for more great music coming on his imprint in 2007.
You can expect nothing more than good house and techno during his special 3-hour set, so make sure you don’t miss this party!
Also in support in the main room is resident John Barber, with James McDonald and Garry White in the bar upstairs.
