Delete With dub KULT (Living Records, Raum & Traum)
Delete is a hipnotic mixture of squeeks and bleeps with Minimal Techno duo Pseudo Funk and this month's special guest dub KULT making his Bournemouth debut and head lining the Funktion Room.

The Funktion Room

Pseudo Funk

Pseudo Funk, dj duo, Delete's residents. Pseudo Funk is the creation of one talented 21 year old going under alias' such as Tone Def and Tony Guinness, with sights on a regular club night in London and ambitions of a record label Pseudo Funk are focused on the task ahead. In Bournemouth Pseudo Funk is the sound of Tone Def and Sam Smith djing back to back with their constant changing style of peak time minimal and unpredictable twists.

dub KULT

Dub KULT is one of the few DJs and producers out there who has an instinctive feel for rocking a dance-floor while also having both something to say and the skills with which to express himself. Live and on record, he plays techno and house sometimes deep, sometimes hard but always infused with some kind of off-kilter alien funk. He doesn't just do looping bangers, and he doesn't get lost in self-indulgence, but he does produce superbly funky, danceable yet lush music that has both attitude and soul.

A special insight into party music that's great for your soul and your head sets dub KULT apart from most producers and this has made him one of those artists the techno scene relies on for peaktime sounds. His records get props from everyone from Steve Bug and Richard Grey to Ricardo Villalobos and Andy Weatherall, even Sven Vath. He's recently put out tunes through Warp's off shoot, Arcola, influential German label Raum...Musik, plus he's already done the soundtrack for Channel 4's Burning Man film, the Tomorrow's World Live show, as well as for legendary fetish fashion show, The Torture Garden. Most recently, he's been added to the roster of Glasgow's Soma label and legendary Colongne label Traum.

Kult, the infamous club night Dub runs with the Kult collective, has run since 1997, shaking the floor from everywhere from the ICA to dodgy Dalston warehouses and swank West London clubs. Guests have included Nathan Coles, Tyler T-Bone Stadius, Richard Grey, Cylob, Evil Eddie Richards and Brit underground legend Tom Churchill.

dub KULT doesn't serve up an arid musical mono-culture, but a rich mix. The diversity of his music is a reflection of his background half-Indian, half-English, part-time member of both the cool crowd and the geek gaggle, neither definitively house nor techno. The music he makes is for both the head and the body. Even tunes that seem made for those moments when you're lost on the dance-floor always have some latent, brooding meaning an intention. Like few DJs of his generation, Dub understands that at the centre of clubbing madness lies a still, reflective core.

dub KULT is a man whose whole career has been dedicated to the un-ending call-and-response of rhythm, this time expressed in electronic music.

The Eclectic Lounge

Upstairs in the bar we have bournemouth legend Gaz White! Gaz will be playing his familiar and much loved style of Dub, Funk, Reggae & Soulful Beats.

Good to see the buzz is building! I've got some pics from the last party to put up - it may be a tad late but for the 6 or os that got taken it wasn't worth rushing them out. I think the lack of photos reflects everyone's state it has to be said!

Loving the fact that Neilon's gonna be doing a live set! Complete and utter funky carnage! I can't imagine a laptop set going down anywhere else in town apart from at our night - pushing the boundaries! Anyhoo, how's everyone's weekends been? On the topic of shrooms, went round to my gf's course mate's for a civilised night of dinner and fireworks, ended up in a debauched rinse-out of mushroom tea and messy dancing in a kitchen, been spending the whole day playing micro machines on the mega drive trying to get back on track!

Don't suppose you've got any spare Mega Drive controllers kicking about have you? Seriously needing the 2 player action for it (or 4 player even - it's the one with the controller sockets on the game cart)...

I'm reckoning if we could get some old skool games hooked up to the projector upstairs it'd go down a treat (although I guess it would be biting Maison's style a wee bit). Still, I've got Mario Kart and Mortal Kombat on the SNES, Micro Machines 2 and Street Racer on the Mega Drive - best have a word with Mark eh?

How about playing super hang on' on whizz! On very stupidly eye burning fast mode!

Good ideas though. Threw my mega driveway out donkey's ago, commador would be more entertaining .... in certain states ....

Here we go ... what game in what state ....

Collums ( with that fucking theme tune ) on a 2 week non stop carnage ibizian come down!
