Mark Henning
Mark-Henning is an artist living a dual existence; by day working amongst the suits as a database managing corporate whore, but by night shedding his tie and cufflinks to become a subversive underground sound sculptor with an insatiable craving for bleeps and noises. He also co-runs Clever Music, a digital label specializing in minimal techno and weird house music.
Born in 1977 to English and German parents, he has spent most of his life in England, though has never forgotten his German techno roots. Inspired by a whole range of music (from Dan Bell to Dinosaur Jr. to Ed Rush & Optical), Mark-Henning's sound sits somewhere between house, techno and dare he say it, 'minimal', with a healthy dose of futuristic bleeps, funk, darkness, groove and deepness.
Mark has established himself as a player in the house & techno scene over the last couple of years with successful releases on Freude am Tanzen, Foundsound, Einmaleins, Frankie as well as appearances on Clever Music, Milnor Modern, Mo's Ferry, District of Corruption and Multivamins. Combining his heavy day job in London with European wide DJ gigs along side time spent in the studio hasn't been easy, but with an ever increasing following and DJ support from big players such as Akufen, Richie Hawtin, Magda, Fumiya Tanaka, Ricardo Villalobos & Steve Bug to name just a few, the future's looking promising.
Metroline Allstars
Metroline is a project born out of the ideas of Andrea, Carlo And Gianpiero, basing its fundamental principle on electronic dance music. Taking advantage of the internet for its possibility to spread and receive data, Metroline aim to be an open platform for artists who are passionate about their music, willing to share their work and emotions with the public and in return they will be able to receive feedback from it. Being a baby-born net-label www.metrolinerecordings.com is constantly looking for new artists, giving them the opportunity to release their work without any substantial cost and taking benefit of the creative commons scheme. All the projects are going to be automatically copyrighted and available as free download. Pseudo Funk, dj duo, Delete's residents. Pseudo Funk is the creation of one talented 21 year old going under alias' such as Tone Def and Tony Guinness, Pseudo Funk have firmly set their sights on a regular club night in London. 2007 should see the Pseudo Funk Net Label officially up and running with big prospects and ambitions of a record label Pseudo Funk are focused on the task ahead. In Bournemouth Pseudo Funk is the sound of Tone Def and Sam Smith djing back to back with their constant changing style of peak time minimal and unpredictable twists. Keep an eye out in 2007 for Tony Guinness's new release Almost on After Dinner, which also includes remix by Sam Smith.
