For Delete number 7 we are very proud to present the original innovator/creator of the Micro-House sound Marc Leclair, better known as .....

AKUFEN

Akufen, real name Marc Leclair, is best known for his epic ‘My Way’ album on Force Inc. records, featuring the classics ‘Skidoos’ and ‘Deck The House’. The album, which featured over 200 radio samples chopped into tiny fragments, paved the way for the micro-house sound, which took the minimal style and made it fun, funky and freaky.

With releases on top labels Trapez, Perlon, and his own Musique Risquee, the name Akufen has been on everyone the lips of everyone into their house and techno, and with the majority of his UK gigs being at London superclub Fabric, the Delete party on March 16 is a rare chance to see the man in an intimate environment.

Anyone in doubt of the man’s talents when it comes to DJing need look no further than his blinding Fabric 17 mix. Veering from deep heady beats to choppy, jazzy house, there’s no doubt the atmosphere will be electric in the Dusk Till Dawn basement.

Pseudo Funk

Pseudo Funk, dj duo, Delete's residents. Pseudo Funk is the creation of one talented 21 year old going under alias' such as Tone Def and Tony Guinness, Pseudo Funk have firmly set their sights on a regular club night in London. 2007 should see the Alt - Records Net Label officially up and running with big prospects and ambitions of a record label Pseudo Funk are focused on the task ahead. In Bournemouth Pseudo Funk is the sound of Tone Def and Sam Smith djing back to back with their constant changing style of peak time minimal and unpredictable twists. Keep an eye out in 2007 for Tony Guinness's new release Almost on After Dinner, which also includes remix by Sam Smith.
