In advance of Frenzy vs Resonate, the two promo teams went to the pub and had a discussion about what is best. Hard house or hard trance/ hardstyle? Must admit one of the things that turns me off certain hardstyle tracks is the distorted kicks. I never understood why you would want to make it sound like the venue/event has a rubbish sound system? Any hardstyle experts able to explain the distorted sound's popularity?

I remember being at some night and hearing a hardstyle set - it was on a Funktion 1 Dancestack (complete with Infrabass and Infrahorn extension) and was making that awful distorted kick sound, I felt awful for the sound guys. What a shocking waste of the best rig out there!!!

Playing on F1 is always something I enjoy - best prob is the massive F1 rig we played on in the 5000 capacity hard dance tent at the Bulldog Bash last summer. Hi fi shop clarity but with Tyson punch bass and kick power!
