The Mass Debate: What is better… hard house or hard trance and hardstyle?

In advance of Frenzy vs Resonate, the two promo teams went to the pub and had a discussion about what is best. Hard house or hard trance/ hardstyle? Needless to after a few pints and a fight in the carpark, we decided to let the clubbers settle the matter. This is what we think, we’d like to get your views.

its all about the hard house, sorry Hard Trance sounds the same and hardstyle is for germans in cellars who cant mix

years ago hardstyle...was just harder hard trance...but its moved on...and the dutch stuff has mostly gone very very cheesy..

where as the italian stuff has some what remained more brutal....

but...hardtrance has also changed to this techy BOLLOX which gets to me as well...

Hardstyle wins as when it is good its the best of all the genres.

Hard House doesn't get a look in as

a) its not hard
b) any music which bring fully grown men out wearing fluffy boots and sucking dummy's is just wrong

To be fair, I've only ever seen that once, and that was up north about 7 years ago.

I went to the Honeyclub last month.

That was fine, apart from strange praying guy in middle of dancefloor... the oddest thing was coming out the club to see over 100 teenagers painted blue, dressed as smurfs, and running into the sea.

I like Brighton.

Hmmmmm for me it's still all about the newer wave of UK Hard Trance, that TBH is a better fit to the more broader ranging "Hard Dance" tag, due to the bigger hard house style basslines but powerful hard trance leads. Combine that with a Freeform/Psy production quality ethic and it really gets interesting.
