This article is about Frenzy presents 'Casualty' with Kym Ayres, Jody Osman, Jon The Baptist and MNKY & Ryki + all the DnB Boys! (Charity Event) @ Empire club in Bournemouth (UK), Fri 13 Apr 2007
On Friday the 13th of April, Frenzy and the Empire Club, threw a party with other local promotions in order to raise £1000 for the Poole Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. Proceeds from the event were presented to the unit in recognition of their hard work and dedication to poorly babies in the Bournemouth and Poole area.
The money will go towards new baby beds to help future toddlers. Today Frenzy was able to hand the money over to the unit which was covered by the local press including the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
Frenzy has a connection with the unit after the new born son of resident Frenzy DJ, Alan Breese, was submitted to the ward late last year following complications after arriving home. Thomas Breese, now seven months, was taken care of for three days after developing severe jaundice and and dehydration. Frenzy said:
"Frenzy and the Empire Club are proud to be able to offer this small gesture to the unit in recognition of the excellent care and attention they gave to Thomas when he was ill. Clubbers in the town are often given a hard time, but the fact so many DJs and party-goers in the town gave up some of their own time and money to a worthwhile cause makes me feel very proud. Our ethos is very much about having a good time, but if in-tandem with that we can help out future kids like Thomas who become ill then that's a big bonus."
The sum of £1000 was raised which was a joint donation from Mr Hassan Safaee, the owner of the Empire Club, and also the Frenzy Crew.
Thanks to:
Frenzy would like to thank Hassan and the Empire staff, Olly from Destiny, Alice Favre and Kym Ayres at Slinky, the Drumfunk crew, the Rum N Ass Crew, Ricky Jordan at Firesky, and Cocoshebeen. But above all, the clubbers who made such an effort on the night to raise cash. A review and photos from the event can be seen in the Reviews Section.
