Enjoyed meself
Had a really good time at this. Nice to play to a bunch of people who love the music. I heard some absolutely Top Notch set's in the Oldskool room, and much as I've never really got into the Nu Hardcore (the NON Breakbeat stuff) I went downstairs and had a dance down there too. Enjoyed it down there as well - really good vibe in the place, and the peeps down there were givin it some, so all good! Shame I missed Jedi's set, as listenin back to the recording it was a blinder!!

Shame there was messing about at the venue with the number of rooms though, as that no doubt led to less people comin along, as the DJ's that had to be cancelled (from the Hard House and DJ Competition rooms) probably had mates comin etc.

Still, roll on the next one!

I DONT THINK YOU SHOULD BLAME THE VENUE FOR MESSING THE ROOMS ABOUT AS THE PROMOTER HAD GUARANTEED OVER 600 PEOPLE COACHES AND SUPPORT FOR THE DJS IN THE COMPETITION THERE WAS NONE OF THIS NO COACHES NO SUPPORT FOR THE NIGHT .
THE DECISION TO CLOSE THE ROOMS OR NOT OPEN SPECIFIC ROOMS WAS DOWN TO THE LACK OF PEOPLE TURNING UP IT IS A 1000 CAPACITY VENUE AND 150 PEOPLE TURNED UP
IT WAS FINACIALLY VIABLE FOR K1 TO STAFF EMPTY ROOMS .THE PROMOTER ALSO NEW THE SITUATION REGARDING THE ABOVE IN ADVANCE .

iME GLAD YOU HAD A GOOD NIGHT THOUGH I NO PROBLEM WITH ANOTHER EVENT AT K1 AND HAVE SPOKEN TO THE PROMOTER WHO HAS AGREED TO BE LESS AMBITIOUS
BRING ON THE NEXT ONE!!!!

Fair play mate. Sounds like a little bit of a 'catch 22' situation. Not havin a go mate, Just passin comment. ;-) And hope they manage to get more peeps at the next one, as the club was really good and this has the making of a top event.
Bournemouth needs an underground event again, and this venue is ideal. Bring back the days of Remix and Madisons!!

I never made it down to WT or Maximes meself, but was regular at both Remix and Madisons (I still actually have my remix membership card I think lol) Quality nites out both of them. Remix had such an underground feel (partly because it actually was under the ground ....) proper little sweat box. Some sort of Salsa bar or sumthin now aint it??? :-S
I hope you do manage to keep the underground stuff there mate. Bournemouth underground events usually have a nice vibe compared to events in some other places, so it would be a shame if that stopped. Also, Bournemouth is one of the only places for miles where you're gonna get anything decent. Next stop Southampton (not really famed for it's underground scene...) or Brighton. Or if you go west, then Exeter... and that's FAR.
