Yes yes people, we are once again back at 2020Rocks for the next helping of Break da House & what a belter we have got lined up...



NICK THAYER
Hailing from Australia, Nick Thayer is an artist & DJ at the top of the game. Having won the award for ‘Best Breaks remix’ at Breakspoll in 2005 for his remix & fellow ozzie, Bass Kleph of ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ by The Drumattic Twins, released on Finger Lickin’ Records. Since then he has released on Bournemouth’s very own Passenger Records (run by local lads Aquasky) & a host of other top Breaks labels. He is also one of the biggest DJ’s in Australia at the moment, receiving great reviews from all the top DJ’s who have worked with him. When we found out he was hitting the UK we jumped at the chance to get him to play for us & he will join the list of international artists we have so far & will be bringing here in the future.

LAYO N BUSHWACKA
Not that these 2 really need an introduction as they have played in Bournemouth a few times before, but hey we’ll do it anyway. This time they are appearing as part of a promo tour for their new Global Underground Rio. A cd which spans electro, techno, house & you guessed it breaks. They are massive international names & have a list as long as your arm of great venues across the world they have guested at. Not to mention the club which Layo co-owns, the mighty End in London which surely has to be one of the best clubs in the UK, if not the world!

SWITCH
Switch, aka Dave Taylor, aka Solid Groove aka, well loads more & too many to mention! Dave is one of the hottest artists on the planet at the moment with his ‘Jackin house’ sound sweeping the nation. He has remixed everyone from Robbie Williams to The Chemical Brothers, he is part of the production team for the super hot M.I.A (who we personally witness tearing Fabric apart!) & maybe the hardest working producer & remixer in the whole of clubland at the moment.

SINDEN
Along with Switch, Sinden is one of the new wave of producers getting massive respect at the moment having graced the cover of DJ Mag & IDJ recently. We would describe his sounds as a real eclectic mix of genres, being based around a jackin 4/4 beat. Anything from Old Skool hip hop, Bangra, Dancehall, Funk to twisted techno & nu wave electro all put through a Sinden blender. He has had success on productions with Herve (aka The Count of Montychristo), hosts the own show on Kiss FM, where he showcases his more ‘Urban’ side & holds a residency at Fabric. Hot property indeed.

As ever support in the Break da House room will come from D*Funk & Lee Nazari, filling in the gaps between Breaks & Electro with support in the basement from local jackin house heads Hijack (Jack Union records / In the brink records) & Shab Ruffcut (Switch's biggest fan!).

After a long time away sunning himself in Ibiza our fave little funk fanatic is back, yes thats right Mr Doris is back in the Break da House backroom, hosting the 2020 Lounge alongside NeverWeSleep.

This looks awesome - have wanted to see Switch for AGES - has dabbled in "fidget" house too lately which is my new love....as well as doing "this is sick" which is one of my all time favorite wrong tracks....
