The Opening Party of a summer of free day events.

The summer is officially here peoples. Not coz the suns out everyday but coz the summer parties have started! In true British style we'll brave the elements whatever the weather. Last year we imported the ibizan formula:

sunshine + alcohol + DJs = fun x 1000

And exploited it to the max... Why restrict partying to the darkest and coldest part of the day? Sunday afternoons is where it's at.

Lucky for all of us Brighton provides us with the venues and the attitude to make these parties happen, and like last year we will be hopping from place to place to maximize the fun formula.

The first installment ie The Grand Summer Opening Party (the official title) takes place Easter Sunday 8th April and entrance is FREE ALL DAY with things kicking off at 5pm. The chosen venue: KARMA at The Marina.

For those who havent been to this delightful place you're forgiven; it's at the marina after all, but it is actually quite amazing. With a sunset-providing sea-facing terrace, with speakers outside to boot it'll be a taste of Ibiza 2 months before the season starts. The inside is nothing short of a amazing too, with a massive high ceilinged main room complemented with a cosy chill out room full of beds to stretch out on, all in a lovely souk-style (Po Na Na rip-off) finish. Basically it's MINT.

The photos and poster below should do the rest of the talking, but one last thing to add is that we are putting on a FREE MINI-BUS SERVICE running every 20 mins between 5 - 8 (5:00 5:20 5:40 6:00 ... ) ushering people from town (Pool Valley) to the venue. So no excuses!

Last but not least, vertically challenged Junkbox Slut and all-round party girl KOALA JO will be celebrating her bday at this party, so come and help her drown her sorrows about reaching such a grand age.
