Music : All Music
HERVE - A man of many aliases (The Count, Action Man, Young Lovers, Voodoo Chilli and Speakerjunk to name but a few), Hervé, is one of the busiest producers in the world. He runs his own label Cheap Thrills, who have been releasing some of the biggest tracks of the last couple of years, and has remixed the likes of The Chemicals Brothers, The Prodigy, Lilly Allen, Bloc Party and Calvin Harris to devastating effect. He also has several albums about to drop including the highly anticipated Count and Sinden LP and the second installment of Machines Don't Care.
TREVOR LOVEYS – Renowned for his collaborations with contemporaries such as Hervé and Dave ‘Switch’ Taylor, Trevor’s many monikers include Speaker Junk, House of 909, Izit? and Li’ll Bo Tweak. Recently launching his own label, Tragic Magic, he’s remixed everyone from Roisin Murphy to A-Trak, and is a genuine pioneer of the jacking house sound now conquering the globe. Keep your eyes peeled for plenty of releases as well as Trevor’s debut mix compilation coming soon!
SPEAKERJUNK - Herve and Trevor Loveys = Speakerjunk. A back to back Dj Set, for the first time in Brighton, showcasing the finest sounds of Electro, Fidget House, Dubstep and Drum and Bass. Dont miss this chance to catch these two top Dj's playing together in an intimate setting.
FOAMO – Raised on a diet of drum and bass, dubstep, grime and garage in, where else, but High Wycombe, 21 year-old Foamo exploded onto the fidget house scene when his track ‘Moving It Over Here’ was championed by Kissy Sell Out on Radio One. Releasing the most successful track on Lee Mortimer’s Wearhouse records, he’s since remixed Primary One, MSTRKRFT and The Mystery Jets becoming an in-demand DJ across the UK and Europe. His latest remix of Man Like Me’s ‘London Town’ looks a strong contender to become tune of the summer.
KIDDA - Music producer, DJ, remixer, songwriter, animator, director, columnist, graphic artist. Kidda is hard to pigeon hole but the word “artist” kind of works best as a cover all for his creative output. Kidda‘s recording career started with some underground releases on Brighton labels Catskills and Puma Strut but it wasn’t until his debut album entitled “Going Up” was released by Skint records in the summer of 2008 that it felt like that he’d finally arrived. “Going Up” was made the Album of the Month in DJ magazine, the Album of the Week in DMC update and received great reviews in publications such as The Sun, Mojo, Zoo and Mixmag.
HIGH RANKIN - High Rankin or Will to his mum has been making some serious waves of late. The last 6 months have seen him remix Hervé, Amon Tobin, Cypress Hill, Adam Freeland, Si Begg and the Stereo Mc's. He's been receiving huge hype on Radio One from Annie Mac about two of his latest tracks 'No Money For Guns' and 'Bubble and Squeak'. Both these tracks, along with 2 others, now proudly reside on Hervés label 'Cheap Thrills' and will be out as an EP in late April. Expect lots more big, nasty bass from High Rankin on Cheap Thrills and plenty more remixes for some very big players.
