Bliss in September is going to be a bit of a special one... Most of you in Brighton are aware of a certain local DJ holding a bit of a beach party, so we've pulled out all the stops to give you an event worthy of a carry on, 'cos when his party kicks out at half 9, it's faaaar too early to go home! ;)

First on the bill is Brett Allen. Currently a relative newcomer to playing the Brighton scene, we think this is due to change very soon!
Past gigs include the Honeyclub main room, Esca, Pasha, H Bar (of which he is resident), Subtone in Cheltenham and BN3 in Ibiza. Future gigs as i type include playing for the legend that is Carl Cox pre-party back at BN3 in Ibiza, Time presents Freemasons at the Honeyclub, and of course with us here at Bliss!
By his own admission, his style of music is hard to pigeonhole, with the full spectrum of house being played, but with a famous relative who shall remain nameless; feel good, crowd pleasing beats appear to be in his blood - expect happy smiley faces all round, a perfect prelude to...

Sugarshaker! Her first time playing for Bliss in Brighton, we're really looking forward to seeing and hearing what she can do after playing a blinder for us at our London residency at The Tabernacle.
Since her debut NYE set nothing can stop Sugarshaker; during 2005/2006 she regularly played alongside Marc Vedo (Slinky/Koolwaters) in London and Bristol, as well as warming up for Pete Tong (Radio 1) at Koolwaters 5th Birthday party alongside Deepgroove and Bobkat. More recently she will be been found filling the dance floor every month at Housework (‘best club night in the South West’ DJ Mag) for DJ’s including Fergie, Oli Lang and James Algate (Godskitchen). In October 2006, due to the demand from clubbers for her bouncy and uplifting sets, Sugarshaker was officially awarded a residency at Housework and plans to help the promoters to build on the success of the night outside of the South West. 2006 also saw Sugarshaker win the opportunity to play at the extremely popular ‘Plastic’ @ Dragon Eye in Birmingham and was invited to play there regularly in 2007 as well as at the new ‘PlasticSelect’ in Sutton Coldfield. To add to this success Sugarshaker is
working closely with an agency in France, adding to her international DJ CV!

Although Sugarshaker only has a relatively short history in the music industry she realised the importance of producing her own material very quickly, so has already turned her hand to production. Working closely alongside producer Leeroy they have been receiving amazing feedback from labels including Azuli and Toolroom, as well as signings to the Hoxton Whores' record label.
Sugarshaker’s passion for music has been life-long and this coupled with her determination and skill has her in high demand as a DJ and producer; her style is diverse from progressive to dirty electro but spinning anything chunky, fat and uplifting to get those bodies moving on the dancefloor is what gets Sugarshaker her reputation as a clubber's DJ!!

Last, but certainly not least, it's been a long time since Bliss resident Ross Manthorpe has played for us down in Brighton but we're looking forward to his return!
DJ / Producer and remixer Ross Manthorpe is Prologue, Bliss and Houseworks resident and plays from quirky jackin house through to electro, tech house and minimal. Another DJ that's very difficult to pigeonhole, he will play any sub genre of underground house and techno he sees fit to bring you the prefect set, no prejudice.
Ross has brought us productions under his own name, as well as his production duo with Bora Bora resident Alex Miles, Vivid Fix. With tracks signed to John Acquaviva's label Definitive Recordings, and remixers on duty including Kosheen DJ's and Paul Jackson, you get an insight to the quality you'll be hearing from the DJ booth!

As you've come to expect from BLISS, not only do you get great lineups, you get them all for FREE, too! No door charge all night, and drinks promo's kicking in at 11pm mean the cream of today's DJ's needn't cost you the earth!

Be seeing you there guys and girls, looking forward to it! :)
