Fervor touch down in Brighton for the first time on April 21st with a lil help from m_nus. The venue is the awesome Ocean Rooms, check the site and pics below.
Flying over from the Detroit and New York respectively are Gaiser and Heartthrob to headline performing 'Live' sets on laptops.

Jon Gaiser is the newest face to emerge from Richie Hawtin's M_nus collective. A Detroit native shaped by the Plus8 events of the nineties, Jon has been releasing minimal techno on M_nus and Resopal Red since late 2005.
Heartthrob is also one of the latest additions to the M_nus family, but the connection goes back a long way. The up and coming New York producer was the mind behind the 2006 summer hit ‘Baby Kate’, and it’s a testament to the original that no less than seven producers (including Magda, Plastikman and Sascha Funke) have lined up to do remixes.
Over the last twelve months, Heartthrob has also been taking his laptop live show on the road, bringing his own dark and smiling take on minimal techno to venues such Watergate in Berlin and Mutek in Canada. Recently Heartthrob has also signed on to do a lot of remix work, including resets of Troy Pierce, The Knife and Depeche Mode.

The M_nus boys are joined in the main room by Fervor residents, Ninja Cowboys, LoveFish and Grimey.

In room 2 we take the sound in a slightly different direction, Playroom resident Steve K will be spinning some dark electro-house; Rich Harmer of 'Jack-It' will provide some jackin techy sounds whilst Dirtbox's Alex Collings will be fusing uptempo electro and breaks.

Gaiser // AKA Jon Gaiser

My 'bedroom' has always been a room full of gear that happened to have a bed in the corner.?
-Jon Gaiser

Following a string of finely crafted releases on Minus and Resopal (as Fraktion), GAISER has rapidly become one of the most exciting and sought after producers of his generation. With an instinctive feel for the intricate mechanics of minimalist sound sculpture, his music contains the perfect balance between rhythmical energy and sonic finesse. Just check out tracks like 'Egress' from his first Minus EP or his classic remix of Troy Pierce?s 25 bitches.

Growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gaiser spent most of his teenage weekends staying with his older brother in Detroit, hanging out with friends and going to gigs. He?d grown up listening to punk and played drums in a few different punk bands but around the age of 14, he attended a techno event for the first time. Richie Hawtin was at the controls and Jon was completely blown away by the energy of the music and fascinated by the originality of the sounds being used. It was so new and fresh to him as a musician that he needed to figure out how this music was made, so he quit the bands and began collecting drum machines, synths and fx units, finally moving to Detroit upon graduating from high school.

For the next few years, if he wasn?t at home patiently programming his machines and perfecting his studio skills, he could be found digging through crates of vinyl at a place called Record Time in Detroit. Plus 8 had an office in the back of the building, so it wasn?t long before he became friends with Tim Price, Clark Warner and the rest of the crew and from this chance meeting he has developed into an integral part of the Minus family.

It?s not hard to see why. His natural energy and rhythm are clearly responsible for the irresistible drum patterns that drive his productions forward but it?s also the subtleties - the delicate melodies and dramatic changes in atmosphere that give his sound such a distinctive edge. Music has always been in his blood, his early punk rock exploits counter-balanced by the more considered approach needed to learn piano and symphonic percussion and by drawing on these earlier experiences, he has avoided the genre?s more self-referential clichés.

On top of his prolific studio output, Gaiser has spent much of 2006 touring Europe, the US and Japan, and 2007 promises to be even busier as demand for his live set grows. What stands out about his performances is his ability to make an immediate connection with the audience, soaking up the vibe and playing according to their reactions. He?s a musician who lives off his instincts, channeling his moods and emotions directly into his computer, translating new experiences and sensations into sound. There simply is no other way.

Heartthrob // AKA Jesse Siminski

Jesse Siminski was born in 1976 in Northern Michigan. He discovered dance music through a musician father and relative who owned a record store. Early Prince, Kraftwerk's 'Tour de France' and Laid Back's 'White Horse' were three of Jesse's childhood favorites. As a teen in the early nineties, he discovered the Midwest Rave scene, traveling to Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis and Milwaukee to hear the unique sounds of the area. This is where he first hear and connected with the music of Richie Hawtin, Drop Bass Network and Communique Records-pioneer of minimal acid and techno. Their dynamic and challenging aesthetic had an impact. Shortly after Jesse became determined to make his own music and started collecting gear and recors. In 1999 Jesse moved to New York City where he continued to experiment with music as well as contemporary art. New York's small minimal scene brought him to Magda and Troy Pierce, who would become friends and sources of inspiration (musical and otherwise). Shortly after Richie Hawtin moved into the neighborhood and a friendship with the Minus family was established. The first public exposure of his music was during Magda's seminal dj set at Mutek 2003.

Jesse uses his productions to explore the intersection where tradition and innovation cross as much as aesthetics and concepts. Where the ideal is function and entertainment as well as experimentation and emotion.

Jesse has releases and remixes (past and forthcoming) on Minus, Underline, Contexterrior, Alphahouse, UnFoundsound, Mos Ferry, Get Physical, Wagon Repair, Tora Tora Tora, Phonocult, Esperanza and Stock 5 amongst others. He has been hosted to play at venues such as, Mutek New York City, Fabric (London) Popkomm at Watergate (Berlin), Volt (Amsterdam) and Batofar (Paris).

Jesse now lives in Paris and is working full-time on music production and live performance.
