BRIGHTON VENUE FOR COMP -
PHUNK-SHUI @ Po Na Na, East Street, Brighton
Every Wednesday 9:30pm to 2:30am

THE COMPETITION SETUP FOR BRIGHTON
4 DJ's playing 30 min sets
2 groups each containing 16 DJ’s, each group runs on alternate weeks
8 heats starting from 12/7 – 30/8
Group 1 semi finals 09/9 – 4 x winners from each group 1 heat
Group 2 semi finals 13/9 – 4 x winners from each group 2 heat
Finals 30/9 – group 1 and 2 winners battle it out for the Brighton finals
All 4 DJ’s picked to play on the night must get there for 9pm – doors open @ 9:15, comp starts at 9:30 – names will be put in the hat and picked out at the beginning of the night to be fair!

Then PHUNK-SHUI DJ's kick off the rest of the night.

RULES & REGULATIONS
1, All DJ's must be of the House Genre

Jackin House
Electro House
Dirty House
Latin House
Soulful House
Deep House
US House
US Garage
Progressive House
Tech House
Tribal House
Old Skool House
Acid House

2, 4 DJ's and 4 Judges per heat

3, Each DJ plays a 3/4 set we can only do 30min sets

Judges vote a mark out of 10 on the following 4 catagories ...

• Quality of music/tunes –
House, Electro, Tech, Whatever ... ‘Does it rock/flow?’

• Mixing Ability –
As it reads.

• Performance –
Dancing, Reading the crowd, Hands in the air etc.

• Originality –
DJ’s can be two to a penny!

the winner is the one with the highest mark out of 40 points

Competitions run from June/July to September/October.

The winner of each of the competitions will go forward to the final of finals in the fresh talent DJ competition to discover who is the Networking Central UK DJ of the year. They will also receive local press & radio coverage for the competition and free accomadation at the weekender.

The Promoter also receives free accomadation, national exposure on all event marketing and a DJ set at the weekender.
